Your Bama Brags...don't be shy! :)

Congratulations to momreads on your S’s opportunities and the scholarship offer and to the Ds of BAMAMom2Be and Sniner! ^:)^

ok…since Class2012mom mentioned it (and I hope Momreads doesn’t mnd),

Her son just was awarded a fabulous scholarship to UVA Law School covering his tuition plus other benefits.

Amazing!

Congratulations to BAMAMom2Be’s and Sniner’s D’s!!!

Congratulations to Momread’s S!!!

Hard work has paid off. =D>

DS attended a job fair at UA and was invited to a breakfast by Unum and an interview by Regions. The breakfast went very well and he expected an offer from Unum but Regions got him first! He interviewed Monday with Regions and was offered a PAID internship this summer at their headquarters in Birmingham. They wanted an answer by today and the opportunity was too good to wait for other offers. Thanks to Bama for setting up these job fairs and giving these students opportunities!

^ what type of intern position?

D received the James and Donjette Yarbrough Endowed Scholarship!!

Chardo, it’s officially called a “wealth management” internship. He’s in the University Scholars program and will have his master’s in finance in December as well as undergrad degrees in finance, economics, and poly sci.

Cheers to everyone for their impressive accomplishments, and a toast to bright futures! Roll Tide!

And D just found out she was accepted into a summer internship in the UT Southwestern Medical Center SURF program!!

Shamrock Dad…congrats to your D!!!

M2CK: I certainly do not mind at all that you announced that my son had won a prestigious scholarship to UVA Law. It is an incredible opportunity. He will find out more about it and the school when he attends an open house in a couple of weeks.

As for other former Bama grads, he told me that his female engineering friend is trying to decide what PhD program she will go with – Stanford, MIT, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Penn State, Michigan. Her opportunities are unreal. He also said that his former roommate has an interview with Harvard Business sometime this month.

So these, like so many others who attend Alabama or graduated from there, are truly blessed.

BTW, my younger son will not attend Alabama in TTown but in Huntsville (we’ll wave when we drive by, M2CK). He has a Charger Distinction Award, which is a full tuition scholarship, as well as a spot on the track /cross country teams.

Congratulations to Bamafana’s S!!! Fantastic news. Nearly done and an internship in hand.

Congratulations to Shamrockdad’s D!!! What spectacular opportunities. Both a scholarship and internship.

Congratulations to Momreads S2 for his great scholarship and track team opportunity.

You must be so proud of your children.

It has been a GREAT week for Alabama students. Roll Tide to ALL!!

So excited to report that my son learned today that he’s one of three film students in the nation to be offered an internship at Revolution Pictures in Nashville. Click on the link, check out their 90 - second sizzle reel, and take a peek at their work and clientele. https://vimeo.com/74158325?autoplay=1
