oh word. open campus lunch for seniors = mcdonalds at least once a week. maybe i should sue the school too.

go for it....2 lawsuits = more $$$

Yeah you should sue the school because they let you off campus, that way nobody else will be able to lol

wouldnt that be an awesome senior prank?

it'd be a good one...but making the administration angry could get rather ugly

Well, I have the exact opposite problem of people on this board! I guess I talk TOO much (I admit it: I like to hear the sound of my own voice). I've been working on that 'shut up and listening' thing a lot more. It is yielding great results...people are confiding in me more.
College resolutions (socially):
1. Listen to people more, talk less.
2. Study in groups if possible.
3. Have a few close friends as opposed to 29 million acquaintances and get through my head that NOT EVERYONE HAS TO LIKE ME!
4. Not murder my roommate (s). (hey, it's a good goal to have, I think ;) )
5. Ask guys out (terrified to do this) also bunched in this is find a good boyfriend. Emphasis on 'good' because those seem to be lacking in my life.
6. Hang out with more straight guys than gay guys...almost all of my guy friends right now are gay! Nothing wrong with that at all, but they can't date you!

If you are talking about physical image changes, then I have lots. I would love to lose a couple lbs and get new better clothes. I guess maybe buy more name brand since most of my clothes now are out of style or cheapo.

Word i always get sick of my clothes after a year. And im not even female. Being metro aint a bad thing.

haha new clothes. Hey don't worry about being a model in college. Just get some sweats and crap clothes for class and some nice clothes for the first week and the weekend. Unless you always want to look pleasant. I do sometimes but I usually look like ****. But I am told I clean up very well hahaha.

Im a study I dress nice whereever I go.

I keep thinking I'll be this whole new person, but I know I'll just be the same ole' me.

lol im not a study...I meant stud.......

haha illini, thats what i hear about UIUC. my friend got in there, and he likes to pop his collars, in fact when he goes out, he usually wears two polos, both popped. when he went to UIUC he was getting so many strange looks, he said. almost everyone there wears t-shirts?

Yeah we wear t-shirts to class. Popped collars are mainly done on off-time not class time. I dress up for class every once in a while tho. When I'm feeling special haha. But two collars is just WAY too much tho. One is sufficient for popping. (I could see strange looks definitely in class but going out? I don't really think so. Well not all strange.)

As far as collar popping goes in general here, it is either adored or downright hated. When I walk around in the bar there will be one guy putting the collar up for you when you walk by and the one right after calling you a "douche-bag" and slapping it back down. It's funny.

i wanna be more outgoing, social, confident, and articulate.
i wanna be happy, carefree, and friendly. i want to be able to speak my mind. i wanna be able to go up to someone new i'm interested in being friends with and start a conversation.
i wanna know a lot of people, but also have some close friends. It would be nice to find a good boyfriend.lol.
Psyically, i wanna grow my hair out, high light it, get some colored contacts, and get my cartilidge pierced. lol.
i want tons more clothes.
academically, i want to imrpove my time management and do my best.

I want to be more confident. I'm shy and kinda quiet. Also, I want to have more of a social life (that will probably happen on its own). I want to get into a meaningful relationship with a guy (however, I'm going to an all-girls college- not quite sure how that will work). I want to stop being such a lazy ass and exercise every day (I'll probably be jogging almost every day, since Sweet Briar has THE PRETTIEST campus, and I'll feel compelled to get out). Also, eat healthy, maintain a healthy weight, etc. I've always been willing to try new activities/clubs. Given the small size (about 700 undergrads) and the tight-knit community, I'll probably be doing a lot of extra-curriculars, not to look good on my application, but because I like being busy. I'd like to really improve my horseback riding (Sweet Briar has a very strong equine program), and I hope to make one of the riding teams. That's all I can think of for now!

I'm going to become an avid drinker

Also learn how to study - my school/academic career has been pretty easy so far - I need to nail down my study habits a bit

thethoughtprocess- agreed.

and while we're at it, i think i just want to be one thing in college: perfect. yeah i think that would be enough.

this is more directed to brave, but anyone can answer this question.

do u think that if a person has trouble developing close friendships in high school despite making a big effort to, that they'll also won't be able to develop close friendships in college?

it depends on the effort ofcourse...think of it as a brand new start
