ooh I forgot to use MrRebate! :(

I do not know about MrRebate, etc. and the other ones…brief explanation???

I use ebates.com. You set up an online account, and start your internet shopping at their website. Ebates sends you a check for your rebates periodically…the amount of the rebate depends on where you shop, how often you shop online, etc.

DH and I already used one of these coupons for an early dinner. We had a great meal, so it was an absolute bargain! This was our first experience using restaurant dot com and it was a very good experience. One coupon down, and with four more to use!

Bloomingdales Friends and Family weekend, 20% off total order with free shipping, code FALLFRIENDS11. Discount worked on several things usually excluded from promos, including Hunter and Longchamp. Plus 3% through ebates.

And this is my 1,000th post!

Dillards [Dillard’s - Official Site of Dillard’s Department Stores - Dillards.com | The Style of Your Life](http://www.dillards.com) has 40% off already reduced for clearance items through the weekend.
Yesterday I got two Jones New York solid color tee-shirts for $3.99 each (great for wearing under sweaters in the fall) and a pr. of JNY khaki shorts for $6 at the Dillards in our local mall.

Coach outlet at Tanger Outlet on Long Island had 50% off many items with an additional 20% from coupon at the door plus additional 5% for $1 donation to breast cancer research or 10% for 5$ donation for a total of 80% off total purchase. I didn’t care, but the bride went nuts.

Northeastmom, I’m glad it went well using your first certificate!

I bought a dress at Ross for $19.99 yesterday and only noticed when I got home that the original price tag said $240. The brand is Vertigo/Paris. I’ve never heard of that but I was very impressed by my terrific deal.

Yes, ebates just sent me my ‘big fat check’ (they write this on the envelope
). DH thought it was very exciting. He’s easily amused. ;)

I still use upromise dot com even though we are (finally) done with schools for DS.

I have to ASK for a check to be mailed to me which I do about once per year but otherwise I like them. I don’t switch to other ones mentioned due to inertia…

The % back seems to vary by site and changes often so it’s a moving target to me to use the ‘best’ one.
I like that upromise has restaurant dot com listed as well, so I can get cash back on my big $2 when I buy an already 80% off dining coupon that they run periodically. Fun!

abasket, thanks!

So…any big differences in the way they operate between MrRebate and ebates???

I’ve only done ebates and upromise, so I can’t compare them with Mr. Rebate. ebates and upromise are very similar, but ebates sends “the big fat check” without request. It’s just easier for me.

I signed up for ebates because I needed to order a baby shower gift to be shipped from Target - I ordered through their site link - suppose the ebate will show up eventually in my account??? I do a fair bit of internet shopping especially this time of year so I figure it’s worth a try…!

How long does it take for an ebate to show up on your account after you purchase online???

abasket, I usually get an email about the rebate. You should get one in a couple of days. If not, just sign into your ebates account and see if it is there.

Just my two cents but I always check to see which site is offering a greater percentage cash back and 99.5% of the time it’s mr. rebates, typically by a significant margin. Enjoy whichever you choose.

Another good deal at Lands End. This time I ordered from their Canvas section. I bought 4 pairs of men’s jeans for 14.99 each (sale price). Using a code I was able to get $10 off the $60 with free shipping. Total should have been $50 for 4 pairs of jeans (shipping included). It gets better…it turned out that they only had 3 pairs in stock so they still honored the free shipping and $10 off on the order which now was $45 before the $10 discount. This means that I am paying about $11.65 per pair with free shipping! Oh, and on top of all of this I plugged in my shopping your way rewards number and went through ebates (Mr. Rebates is 1% more back if you use them).

My son will be traveling for interviews in the next few months, so I have been looking for a nice carry-on bag for him, at a good price. I finally found a Travelpro 20" Carry-On Rollaboard for $80 at Tuesday Morning. I looked at Macys, Bloomindales, Costco, Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross before finding this one. The only thing it lacks is what I would consider sufficient padding for a laptop in the front pocket, easily solved with a padded sleeve. And it carries a lifetime warranty!

I’ve recently been trying to buy everyone in the family one good sturdy piece of luggage - something big enough, but small enough to carry-on. So far I’ve purchased all but one at TJMaxx - unique pieces, fun colors (I kind of like my suitcase to stand out a bit so I can recognize it quicker than 100 pieces of navy/black) and quality brands.
