Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

NYmom -
did you use the extra 10% off coupon that is available Oct 14-17 for Overstock?

Thanks Thumper. He does have a few pair of jeans from Express that fit him perfectly. We’ll stop in there when we do our lap around Tanger (outlet).

For those talking about the Express, I saw this on Slickdeals today:

Express is having a Semi-Annual Clearance Sale up to 70% off + an additional 20% off during checkout. Shipping is flat rate $8. They also have $15 off of $30, $30 off of $75 and $75 off of $200 with Promo code 1782. You can also print a coupon online for your local store:

[EXPRESS: Fashion Sale: Get up to Half off on Hot Designer Styles](http://www.express.com/content.jsp?pageName=mainsale&pubname=**Slick%20Deals**&pubID=k1971)

Went Whole foods yesterday. The cashier couldnt get the barcode reader to work on the flowers I had, so I jokingly said “you get 3 chances-- then its free”. He said-- “ok-- you shouldn’t be penalized because our reader wont work” and he gave them to me! Then when I got home I realized they forgot to put one item I purchased in the bag. So I had to go back. They gave me the item and took it off my credit card (so in essence gave it to me for tree). Nice customer service!

jym, I used a one-time 10% off offer that was emailed to me because I hadn’t bought anything at Overstock for a while. It could only be used once, and there was no promo code - it was a click through - or I would have posted the info. I did check retailmenot.com and saw that 10% off coupon. I hope it works for people.

I actually went on the site to get a rug pad. Overstock has great rug pads at great prices. Their “Durable” carpet pads are Safavieh’s. I ended up buying mine at another site because O did not have the size I needed in stock. I remembered that I’ve been wanting a waffle maker since my old one died a year ago, and found this deal.

Success, but not a good buy. Stopped at Banana Republic on the way to the outlet mall and found a pair of khakis that fit son very well. It was their slimmest cut of khakis: Emerson fit.

Now we’re heading to the outlets for some fun.

My son does NOT compromise on the fit of his pants. He figures they last a long time with care, and they need to look nice. He’s slim cut…and short…Express is his go to place for pants. Glad you found some that fit well.

Great day. Ended up with really nice slim khakis from Banana Republic, a red casual button down shirt from Guess (half price the sale price-ended up being $23.00), and a Merona dress Oxford shirt from Target. Son is a happy camper because I paid for everything. He bought himself 2 long sleeved knit shirts at PacSun (buy one, get one half price) and a new wallet.

We have one more stop (to pick up husband’s ice cream birthday cake) and then home to cook the special birthday dinner and celebrate. I hope everyone enjoyed their day today :).

thumper, I have a short, slim, picky son too. Do you mean the Express stores that are generally in malls? I don’t know that I have ever entered one, but I didn’t think they had clothes for boys! I will check it out.

Yes…the Express stores in the malls…they do carry clothes for males…and my kid LOVES them.

Funny–my S doesn’t like them. Tastes vary so much! They do have several styles of men’s dress shirts and slacks. The ONLY slacks that fit S nicely are ONE style & size & fit BR makes – hope they never discontinue it! It’s only available on-line as it is.

Went to the Staples weekly ad online and it had a $5 coupon. One needs to spend $25 to use it and there are some exclusions/restrictions listed. Mine is good through 10/22/11.

Coldwater Creek shoppers, they are currently offering 40% off the lowest outlet prices.

bid on ebay and successful! 150 Finish Powerball QUANTUM dishwasher detergent tablet, $6.xx shipping $11.xx, no tax… thanks to CCer’s tips…

There’s a deal on travelzoo for Omaha steaks and stuff [$49 - Omaha Steaks: 36 Gourmet Cuts and Sides, Reg. $177 | Travelzoo Local Deals](http://www.travelzoo.com/local-deals/deal/7260)
ire up the grill for tailgating season with this exclusive deal from Omaha Steaks. For $49, purchase 36 gourmet items including sirloins, boneless pork chops and burgers. Normally $177, The Ultimate Tailgate Pack is only available to Travelzoo subscribers.

This package includes:

• 4 (5 oz.) top sirloin steaks
• 4 (4 oz.) boneless pork chops
• 4 (4 oz. approx.) boneless chicken breasts
• 12 (4 oz.) Omaha steaks burgers
• 8 (3 oz.) gourmet franks
• 4 (5.75 oz.) stuffed baked potatoes

We don’t eat much beef but I know that Omaha Steaks are supposed to be very good. The cost is $68 including shipping. Is this a good deal?

Got wristlets at the Vera Wang store yesterday; they were 50% off, so $18 apiece instead of $36. Will give one to D & the rest to my nieces. They’re cute and lightweight and washable. Hopefully it will be useful to D who doesn’t like carrying a purse but it can help her when she needs to bring a phone, key, credit card & DLicense.

I have been looking at the Omaha Meat’s website for a few days, the basic site, the mrrebates deal and now the travelzoo deal. They are like Dell in that you keep finding other deals with slightly different packages & names. I feel like I am not sure which one is the best deal & each site does NOT link you to the other site’s deals. Accessing via Mrrebates.com does not show the specials on the regular site, but an entirely different set of deals.

Personally, I’ve decided I like to buy my protein as I want to eat them because they’re never quite as good to me & H after they’re frozen. It would take me a while to eat all of that meat. I did buy a batch of meat once (fell for a scam – long story). Have vowed not to do it again. Besides with just the 2 of us, no sense having our freezer keeping all that meat for so long.

Sorry, can’t answer your question about the deals you have. I like to go to local sources & compare the price, adding in the inconvenience of having to store so much meat.

northeastmom, Thanks for the reminder on coldwater creek. I found a freeshipping code as well good through 10/19 ( WZH7597 ) no minimum order, whoot-whoot!! I was able to pick up a cute scarf and earrings for my SIL for her b’day for $21 (reg. $56 + ship).

Thanks blueiguana and northeastmom!! Three shirts for $25 and change (after tax)!! Woo hoo!! Needed to update my casual wear for an upcoming trip to Disney in December.
