Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

I have never seen LE at my local KMart. Maybe I have missed it though in my effort to get in and out of any “mart” as quickly as possible. What part of the store is is located in ?

As I mentioned, my local Kmart may not be the same as the typical Kmart found in other places. In this particular store, the Land’s End dept. is right in the front of the store. They carry some LE Men’s, Women’s, and Children’s clothing as well as some Home items such as LE sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels.

^thanks ny, mine must not have it then. :(

Ours doesn’t either. But I wonder if all KMarts now can take Lands End returns? That in and of itself would be a huge benefit allowing us to mail order multiple sizes to try on without incurring shipping fees to send things back.

According to the return policy on the Land’s End web site:

Return Internet or catalog orders at a Sears store.

Just follow these guidelines
Bring the Lands’ End items you wish to return to any full line Sears® store.
Make sure to bring the original packing slip for the items you wish to return.
You will receive a return confirmation from Sears. Lands’ End will then issue a credit in the original form of payment. If the original form of payment is no longer valid, the payment was made with points or vouchers from a rewards program, or if the order was a gift, you’ll be issued a Lands’ End gift card instead.

Please Note: Sears cannot accept exchanges or returns from Lands’ End stores, Amazon.com®, or Lands’ End Business Outfitters.

As it says full line Sears store, I wonder if that means only the Sears stores with a Land’s End department; I would also assume no returns at K-Mart since it wasn’t mentioned. My K-Mart also has a Land’s End department, so I would have assumed I could return there, but I don’t know. The last time I returned a LE order, I did it at Sears.

Yeah, we don’t even have a Sears locally, that’s why I was wondering/hoping about KMart.

The Lands End section of our Kmart does take returns-which comes in very handy. I bring the item that I want to return to their Land’s End counter with the enclosed paperwork. They fill out a form, take the item, and send it back to Land’s End. The only drawback is you have to wait about 2 weeks for the return to officially be processed and the credit to be made on your credit card.

As I mentioned, our KMart seems to be different than the others that I’ve visited. It sells Kenmore products/appliances and some Land’s End products. In the summer, it’s not out of the question to find yourself standing at the checkout line next to a celebrity. In May and June, the ritzy “summer people” go there to stock up on beach chairs, towels, cooking supplies, etc. for their summer rentals.

Even if KMarts won’t take Lands End Returns, check & see if your local Sears will. If so, you should be able to return merchandise there & avoid freight for returns.

Found an even cheaper cookie deal at Cheryl’s Cookies – 6 cookies plus shipping for $6.99. [FREE 6 COOKIES plus SHIPPING - Cheryls](<a href=“Cheryl's: Cookie Delivery & Gifts | Cookies Near Me”>Cheryl's: Cookie Delivery & Gifts | Cookies Near Me)
They aren’t heart-shaped and pink but they’ll still arrive in time for Valentine’s Day and they’re 3 bucks less!

How likely are Harry & David pears to arrive on the east coast before their “arrive by” date? I decided to do that for Valentine’s Day (using the 19.99 pack with free shipping) but when I pick to ship by the 14th it says it will arrive between the 9th and the 14th and I don’t want it to arrive before the 13th.

Thanks, patsmom! I went ahead and ordered these even though there is a Cheryl’s near me because it also includes a free $10 gift card for future orders!

Thanks Patsmom, just send one to each of my two kids out of town! At that price, why not?! Just a fun little treat to get…without overloading them with cookies!

I ordered the Cheryl’s cookies for my S as well. I’m not sure if he’ll use the giftcard though, unless he wanted to send cookies as a gift to someone else. To get cookies for himself, even with the giftcard, they’re normally pretty expensive. I should ask him to give it back to me so I can use it toward another treat for him sometime.

Also just ordered two - one for Son and my Mom - excellent gift! I would love to get the gift card back - but thinking that will not happen! Might have to send some to myself! I come out ahead $4 and six cookies!

Good one! I sent them to my college freshman and my grad school daughter. Coincidentally, I baked some oatmeal raisin cookies yesterday, froze 8 that wouldn’t fit into my container for soft cookies (that’s how one son likes them) and will ship them off sometime to young son.

At my local Sears they had a sale in their LE dept. It was 50% off the lowest discounted price. Their summer tees in the LE Canvas section was reduced to $7.50 (I assume they were left over from last summer, but unsure). They are a very soft cotton, so I thought they were great.

My H&D took several days between ‘shipping’ and actually showing up on the tracking screen. They were prompt, but not early. They have online chat on their site so you can ask them.

I sent DS the H&D chocolate cake on sale for $17.99 with free shipping. It looks delicious but small, so I doubt the roomies will get any :-).

I ended up just buying something locally and giving it to my youngest son to give him on my behalf on V-day

I did not see any amazing V-Day deals this year. Last year I felt the offers were so much better. Anyway, I decided to give $$ this year instead.

We’re in the market for a new GPS, so if anyone knows of some awesome deals, I’d be happy to hear about them. We have a really old Garmin that I’ve really loved but that just doesn’t work very well anymore (can’t find the satellites when it gets hot, among other things). I don’t need much in the way of fancy/advanced features, but if there exist GPSs that know the speed limit and can either just show it to you or warn you if you’re exceeding it by a user-set amount, that would be cool. We do a lot of driving on rural highways where the speed limit changes every 5 minutes, and it’s easy to lose track!
