I agree, some things I like to see in person, shoes/purses, certain items I get at TJ Maxx/Marshall’s, but I do most things online. With petite daughters and a “slim” son, we don’t find their sizes often and with all the coupon sites, I usually do pretty well if I am patient.

I bought a laser printer at Office Depot for $59.99. It has a cartridge in it good for 700 sheets. It is B &W, but I have had it with buying ink.

My good buy was at the LLBean outlet store last week. A teal green cotton “tropics” shirt for $19.95.

Got my bio text as an online ebook for about 46 instead of 80 used at school bookstore and 60 on amazon.

Personally, I LOVE our printer. It used solid wax sticks that are melted to produce the “ink” used for the paper. We paid probably too much for it, but have had it now since 2009. It produces laser quality, very professional looking. The main drawback is that the ink CAN melt and leave images on things & you can’t use heat to laminate (will totally melt). The wax sticks are fairly reasonable & store well. It’s a Xerox Phaser printer–sits in our living room & since we all have respiratory problems, didn’t want a laser printer with the fine particles they emit.

SUNY Geneseo :)

Community college & flagship U summer school were both great bargains for us, as were AP courses for S, where he was able to start his freshman year with 60 credits. :)

AP and IB saved us–D starts with 32 credits, maximum allowed at her school

Anyone have a hard to wake up person in their family? Tocky Runaway alarm clock is on sale through a Groupon - [Tocky Runaway Alarm Clock Deal of the Day | Groupon Abilene, TX](http://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-tocky-nanda-home?utm_medium=email&utm_source=channel_goods-deals&sid=11238679&user=f4698559fa338d1cfa3fb632b681eb515fd9a263ef9ed6e339c10ad4f2214b16&utm_campaign=11238679&s=body&d=gg-tocky-nanda-home&p=1&c=deal_button)

S2 just got a part-time job at Dick’s Sporting Goods. The employee dress code requires athletic apparal/brand names sold at Dick’s…not cheap.

He did have a few pairs of basketball shorts that met the requirements but didn’t have a shirt made of “technical” fabric (no 100% cotton allowed).

So off I went to Goodwill where I found an UnderArmour shirt that looks brand new. It was his size/good color and only cost $2.49…woohoo. Hope to find more on my next trip.

I recently bought three seatbelt cutter/window breaker/escape tools from Amazon. One for my car, one for DH’s and one for DD’s. You can get two for $15.95 now, though when I bought ours, they were $9.95 each (originally $19.95).

That’s what Tiger Woods needed when his wife tried to go up the side of his head with a 2-iron after he hit the tree at the end of his driveway in the SUV. :)

They are also great for helping older people get into a car. I bought one for my car, the pointy end goes into the door hinge and creates a ‘handle’ for someone to reach for when trying to sit down. Mom loves it.

Wouldnt that pull the door closed on you if you put that in the hinge? Am I picturing this wrong?

Jym-- you put it in the metal part that’s attached to the frame…not the door itself. It’s pretty sturdy and mom says it makes her feel safer when lowering herself to sit in the car.

This doesn’t happen often, but I had 10.00 Bob’s clothing coupon (from buying sneakers earlier in summer) and walked in and saw a Jones NY tee shirt in my size for 10.00 on clearance.Liked the color and went to the cashier and walked off without paying a dime. : )

Chuckie-
I must be a blockhead. I am still having trouble picturing where it would go. Hinge? frame?

jym- its probably me. According to my hubby, I’m the worst person to give directions. Nomenclature has always been my weak point. Next time you open your car door, look at the cars frame and see where the door latches. Its a metal square piece. That’s what the pointy end of the tool slides into. I hope this helps.

OOOOOh. The latch opening in the door frame. Not the hinge. That 'splains it! Hinge is at the far end of the door, up by the front end, and would pull the door closed on the person, probably pinching a few fingers in the process.

Ahh, now I understand—might look into that for help when my dad is riding with us.
