Amazon’s deal of the day is a dyson [Amazon.com: Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner: Home & Kitchen](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014E3GM0/ref=amb_link_366793902_2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=right-blog-0&pf_rd_r=108D3B1BFHEYF7AT8V1N&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1430016982&pf_rd_i=5550342011)

^^^^I’m curious about its effectiveness on hardwood floors. Anybody with experience?

My sister has a Dyson (not sure which model) and loves it, but she has mostly carpeted floors.

I have the Dyson DC33, [Amazon.com: Dyson DC33 Multi-Floor Upright Bagless Vacuum Cleaner: Home & Kitchen](http://www.amazon.com/Dyson-DC33-Multi-Floor-Upright-Bagless/dp/B0043EW354/ref=pd_sim_hg_1) which is billed as a multi-floor cleaner. It worked well on my hardwood floors but It was difficult to get underneath cabinets because of the height of the head piece.

The only vacuum we regularly use in our house is the Roomba, computer-propelled vacuum cleaner that is programmed to go off on its own every day. It does a great job on our hardwood floors and doesn’t throw the dust into the air the way traditional vacuums do. Each of our kids also bought themselves a Roomba when they left home. It’s great for our allergies.

I also use mine on the hardwood floors; mainly to suck up all the dog hair! I usually sweep around the edges of the room first as like kathiep said, you can’t get under the cabinets as well.

My DH fell in love with DS’s hot air popcorn popper over Thanksgiving (note to self: shouldn’t have donated the old hot air popper to Good will). Had $20 in Kohls cash from a week ago but it had expired as we were away (visiting DS) during Thanksgiving. Went up to Customer Service, smiled nicely and asked if they could extend the Kohls cash under the circumstances. No problem. Done.

Next- go grab an Orville Redenbacher hot air popper. Regularly $29.99. On sale for $19.99. Cashier rings it up but it shows $1.21 in tax due. But wait!! I have a 20% off coupon with me as well. He re-rings it up. Free. :)

Coulda gotten something else for an additional few dollars but was already in line and it wasn’t worth the trouble.

^^^like!!! :)

jym, I just got one of those with my bonus cash, too! Wanted to make fat-free popcorn…

The bummer is that it doesnt have much taste unless you put something on it. The fake-o buttersalt stuff doesnt hold a candle to the truffle oil my DS out on it. Um… kinda defeats the purpose…

I could kick myself-- ordered a new checkpoint friendly laptop bag and luggage scale for DH on cyber Monday (well actually on the extension-- cyber Tuesday) but forgot to link to the site through my MRrebate account, which was offering 5% back from that luggage site:( Oh well, goodbye $6

Jym626 or others- What am I missing regarding Mr Rebates and other such rebate sites? CC is the first place I have heard of such sites.

I use ebates dot com. I go to the ebates website and from there I go to the online store. I am fairly new to this, but have received nearly $80 in “ebates”. For ebates, they will mail you an actual check, or you can take an Amazon voucher. I did the voucher the last time, and received an extra $1, since they did not have to mail the check. They mail the checks quarterly.

I was leery about signing up for one of these sights but after signing up a yearish ago, I regret not doing it years ago. I use ebates. Sign up for an account. Once you do and want to order ANYTHING online go to ebates first, type in the store name and it will pop up if it offers a % back. Click that and it takes you right to the site . Sometimes I get an email about each cash back transaction, sometimes it seems I don’t but the rebate is counted and collected. The first couple of quarterly rebates I got a check, since then I too have elected to have it put on my Amazon account.

It’s really easy peasy. I bet I got close to $40 just in the last week or so ($22 alone on 2 entertainment books which had a 50% ebate rebate yesterday!)

I briefly looked at the site. Briefly since it puts up this big blocking sign that you have to sign up. Amazon was not one of the choices on that big sign. Macys, Kohls, Walmart, Target were. How did you get to choose Amazon which I would prefer?

You type Amazon in the search box. Right now, it’s 4% cash back.

Can you still use other coupon codes you find elsewhere on the web? I go to coupon cabin a alot and it is easy to find Barnes and noble discounts on the web.

Yes, I use ebates and coupon codes all the time. I have never had a problem. It really is super easy.

Thanks
…

Yes , it doesn’t affect your other codes. Barnes and noble is not currently offering a rebate on ebates. At least not the last few days!

I’m assuming you can’t earn ebates and ShopDiscover cash back on the same purchase since each one requires that you enter the merchant’s site through its own link??
