Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Thanks for the heads up on the Loft sale - picked up some good buys for both D and me.

$50 off $100 purchase at Loft with code “Oneday.” I received this in email in response to my recent purchase.

Gap has some of there 1969 jeans for 24.99.
Eddie Bauer has $40 sweatshirts for $10.
Talbots plain black pants were on sale for $33 or so. I got 2 pairs for less than 70, and one was originally over $100.
Express has 40% off their sale stuff. It’s quite picked over, but I brought some things home for my fashionista son to try on
Lord and Taylor is having their final clearance. Got several casual Things for me there.
I had quite the shopping day today…but most everything was well over 50% off.
Oh yeah, Hallmark has some Christmas stuff for 75% off too.

Went to LensCrafters today to use the 30%off coupon. Progressive lenses (fancy high index, anti glare coating, etc) one of their cheapest frames…more than $500 AFTER the discount. Went to Costco and same lenses, similar frames, $239.

Thanks for Talbots tip, 1214mom. I got a jacket and dress for under $100 and with a gift certificate I got for Christmas, it was about $35. Online, so I hope it fits.

Dragonmom, DH Loves his Costco glasses. Excellent quality at a great price.

There is an Amazon Local Deal through Sunday for [Personalized M&Ms](https://local.amazon.com/philadelphia-western-suburbs/B00B4Y9U52). Pay $15 for $30 worth of M&Ms. When I purchased mine, the receipt came with an additional $5 credit. I’m buying 8 oz of Miami Dolphins M&Ms for S2 for Valentine’s day; with shipping charges I’ll end up paying $11.16 in total.

Oooh, just ordered for S1 and DIL’s celebration!

For glasses, the only place I ever get them is Zenni Optical (zennnioptical.com). For the basic ones. they start at $6.95. REALLY. They have transition lenses, bifocals, etc. but none of them even approach $200. I found the site after my local (and new) eye doc told me I needed two different types of glasses, ONLY in expensive full frames, ONLY in expensive specialty lens material and ONLY in the lines that started at $300 EACH. I have not been back. I have 6 pair from Zenni and I don’t think the total was more than $100.

^ I’ve used Zenni before, too. I like them.

Harry and David has 10% - 20% off depending on how much you spend for Valentine deliveries. Has anyone else found other “good buys” for Valentine gifts? I would love to send flowers or healthy stuff to D. Harry and David is still very pricey with the discount!

Where do you get glasses that you order online fitted?

My son and my husband have gotten glasses on-line at [Contact Lenses, Designer Eyeglasses, Sunglasses & More | Coastal](<a href=“Clearly we are under maintenance”>http://www.coastal.com/) They have a deal where your first pair is free. Of course if you add on things it adds up, but my son’s were still just $20 and my husbands were $60. The sites (Zenni’s looks great too!) have detailed information on sizing. My son’s were good to fit out of the box, but we did get them tweaked when he went into Lenscrafters for his eye exam. Ours no longer asks where we got our glasses, they just fix them up.

Cheryl’s cookies has a Valentines deal now. Discount code LOVESHIP

^My regular (distance) glasses have been about $40 (after insurance) at the regular “prescription” place, but I keep forgetting ordering them lately, so it has been about 2+ years. My reading glasses are $6 (many pairs) from the Dollar General and they are much better quality than the ones I have ordered as prescription (and they ended up about $100 long time ago), I was darn stupid, for sure. However, I do not wear glasses, distance pair is in my car because my license has restriction. Otherwise, I would not wear them at all, I believe that I see better without them.
Reading pair I wear only for intricate art work, I would need them for the longer reading, but I do not read.

Best Buy has some great deals this fri & sat - son was able to get a Onkyo home theater system for $149. He had some gift cards to use and the total came to $85! It can’t be picked up at the store til Feb 7, but was a great deal.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but I follow slickdeals.net and have gotten some amazing deals!

Joseph A Banks clothiers is having a buy one-get 3 free sale today only on suits, sportcoats and outerwear. There are other sales with buy one-get 2 free, and some sweaters for like 85% off.

Went to Jos A Bank and was disappointed with their “sales” as usual. There were NO sweaters at significantly reduced costs. The ones that were in sale…honestly, I think they mark them UP before they mark them down. The buy 1, get 3 free items were VERY limited.

I did get ONE good buy…an $89 shirt for $5. To be honest, it wasn’t worth more…a very old and outdated fabric and style but my husband can use it to do yard work.

I shop Jos A Banks a lot for DH…but only online. We get some great deals on pants…DH is hard to fit (very tall and skinny).

I don’t like the stores at all.

I found a sweater on their website at a very reduced price. Went to the store and they ordered it for me (it wasn’t in stock) with no s&h to be sent to my home. My DH went with a friend to the store. Bought 4 sports coats between the 2 of them and split the cost. Worked out well for them.

Great buys Jym. The selection in the store of European cut suits and sports coats was negligible. Oh well. Glad someone got a good buy!
