yah…D always had her boyfriend and room mate on hand for ALL Craigslist transactions!

Dillard’s has a great deal - any reduced items (most are 40% off) are an additional 30% off. I got a ton of stuff for almost free. Four of the blouses are long sleeve so can go into fall and winter. Some great deals on shoes too. Not so many deals on men’s clothing, I guess because men’s dress clothes are multi-season and styles don’t change as much.

FREE 22" HDTV just for opening a checking account at Irwin Bank! Had to open it with $5000 and maintain a $1000 balance for a year. (Planning to withdraw $4000 next week). Sure beats a toaster…

^^Awesome! I hope that bank is FDIC insured. :)

I bought a slow cooker and got it at Bed, Bath and Beyond for 39.99 plus tax, with my coupon. Walmart’s price is 52.96, and Sears has it on “sale” for about a dollar more than Walmart’s price. I was very surprised to see that BBB had something priced lower than Walmart, even before using the coupon (BBB sticker price was 49.99).

College Studets (.edu): 20% Macys.com Back-to-School Discount
If you don’t have a student email, you’re not going to be able to access this one. Sorry guys and gals.

For those that do, however, there’s a 20% Macy’s.com coupon for purchases over $100. I can’t link directly to the site because each coupon is apparently unique to the user/user account, and it won’t show without verifying your .edu email.

This is offered at ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ or you can type: “Macy’s student discount” in google. The first 5 links will get you to the site. Free registration takes about 30 seconds but you can use the coupon right after. Sorry for the roundabout directions - it’ll a legit coupon I promise

I’m not sure if there are exclusions. I would assume so for well-known brands. I used the discount on a pair of jeans last month…worked fine for me.

Enjoy.

50 inch plasma for $650.

Fresh local peaches for 99 cents a pound. Local whole flounder for $1.99 per pound, New Zealand Braeburn apples at 99 cents per pound, all at an Asian supermarket. A large bunch of beets with the greens attached, 99 cents at my neighborhood Latino market, one of my favorite places.

Big sale at REI - just got a bunch of workout clothes for cheap.

Today–JCPenny online–I was able to order a Queen size comforter regular priced at $85 for $39.99. Currently, they’re offering free shipping for orders of $49.99 or more so I added a $10.00 tshirt to the order. I ordered the comforter one size larger so there will be ample coverage. It’s being shipped for free to son’s new off campus apartment. Typical guy–he brought up bedding for a twin bed only to realize when he moved in that he had a full size bed. Duh! :)

Bought a dolly on Wednesday. Got a good price at Home Depot and found moving DD was a lot easier than other years. We thought of renting, but two trips with a rented dolly was more than just buying the darn thing.

Just want to vent- My D needs a new riding helmet. I know I am going to probably have to pay full price. Goes against my principle but have searched and can not find a good buy on the one she wants.
Sadly last Christmas I found a great buy on the one she wanted in the size she thought she needed. Didn’t fit. I was able to sell it to a barn mate but have not found another yet.

I got an SAT wordy shower curtain at [Top 500 SAT Word Shower Curtain | Overstock.com](http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Top-500-SAT-Word-Shower-Curtain/3496512/product.html) for $18 - a 10% off coupon to make it $16.20. I’ve seen it other places for quite a bit more.

Thanks for the REI sale reminder! Got triathlon gear on sale, an REI softshell for $40 (it was originally priced $120 - yay, cross-country skiing, here I come!), and Nike technical running pants for $20 (originally $75). Nice! I’m going back to get a lightweight tent (H dreams of hiking the Kalalau trail - yeah, right, if we ever make it to Kauai, he’ll be hiking the Sheraton trail :)).

Kauai is lovely–such contrasts–the verdant beauty (think Jurassic Park) of Princeville & Hanalei (of South Pacific fame) and the huge waves of Poipu with all its sun. I find it a fascinating place–more unspoiled than many.

MiamiDAP, Where in the world did you get a 50" plasma for $650? I would love that buy!

I hit the jackpot at Marshalls recently–I found an All-Clad 14" stainless frying pan with the tag missing, so I brought it to the register and asked for a price. She said $10. At first I thought she must have said $110, but I wasn’t sure, so I asked her to repeat it. Then I bought it really fast in case she checked again. :)

okay, nightchef, I am jealous! It is so hard for me to find a deep 12 inch+ frying pan that I like! They are so expensive too. 14" was All-Clad was a find!

A clutch of rubber duckies, a baby dragon, mommy and daddy duck, and baby huey over a period of two weeks for $2 at garage sales. Intended for MIL, FIL, great nephew, and eventual gag gift to 24yo son’s indoor garden.

1st Birthday gift of 2 tshirts, 1 polo and two pairs of pants for the total of $13.50 at Macy’s. They have a lot of nice baby/toddler clothes on sale, including some incredibly cute pj’s. But I know the mom wants/needs clothes so I skipped the cute pj’s…
