How many people have got burned on the Kohl’s free $10 in cash for every $50 spent because you forgot to get back to the store in the one week period that’s allowed? (raising hand!!)

I wonder what % doesn’t get redeemed.

But yes, some good deals there if you need what they have.

If you are looking for Free People clothes for your D, RueLaLa has a bunch of them on sale today (the prices are good - the $59 sweater I got for DD on sale at Nordie’s is listed for $39). I missed the classy pumps that I wanted to buy, which means… I SAVED $99! Yipeee! And I slept for 9 hours!

BunsenBurner- My D loves Free People. I was set to check RueLaLa this morning. But I had an early morning phone call from my D in a different time zone. She was at an outlet mall and bought herself 2 Free People tops for 70% off. She wanted to know if I would pay for them as one of her gifts.
I find my Best Buy is to stay off the computer and out of the stores and spend $0.

Went to American Eagle today to look around. I bought 2 Men’s long sleeved graphic t-shirts for a total of less $16.00. The same shirts are currently listed on their website for $19.50 each (before the buy one, get one half price deal).

The store had them marked down to $14.99 each. On top of that, they offered an additional 30% off the marked down price. In addition, I got the “buy one, get one 50% off” discount. I paid $10.46 for one and $5.23 for the other. Hooray!

Went to Syms today.
Got a gorgeous red low v neck sweater ( with sequins on the v) for…$10! It was originally $50.
Also got a couple of those flannel pj pants my son loves…Izod…on discount…only 10 bucks each (very soft!).

I finally know what to get my hubby for Christmas! Hitachi drill kit @ Costco. He just walked out of the garage with his cordless drill and tossed it in the grabage can (of corse, he took it out a minute later, but I got the hint)! Apparently, both rechargeable batteries are kaput.

I just bought 2 hoodie sweatshirts for DD and DH at Finishline for $32.xx shipped. They are 2 for $40, I used code FOOTBALL1060 for additional $10 off and got free shipping. I am not sure about the extra $10, it might be an error on my order, I originally had more sweatshirts in my cart (hit the add button too many times–the coupon might only apply if you order more than 2).

I have been checking out Blackberrys, and found out that they come with a turn by turn navigation system (there is quite a price range, but the Storm 2 is buy one get one free right now). You can get a mount for your dash board, or leave it on the seat next to you and let it “talk” you through the trip. If the Garmins at Costco are $129-$200, you could get a new phone with a nav system (and all the other cool features) for cheaper than that. The Blackberry can also be taken with you (or your college kid), for help with directions on the go (walking through the city, or traveling as a passenger in a friend’s car). I just saw one on the Verizon website for $179, and didn’t see anything about the special offer, but the stores are doing a buy one get one free if it isn’t available online. I think that one of the Droid models is on sale as well, and I believe ATT is offering it too.

Note to self:
Do not read the Tiger Woods thread just before reading this thread, especially before 8:00 in the morning and without that first cup of coffee… LOL

I’ve been checking smart phones such as BBerry and Droid for navagation as well. The last time I had a smartie Verizon charged an extra $30 a month per unit. I’d rather go with a dedicated GPS with free life traffic and and 4.3 screen.

My best buy many toys for US Marine Corps Toys For Tots. I winnowed down my gift list this year and bought for them instead. My nieces and nephews appreciated their gifts in years past but they are all adults now. I talked to my closest friends and they are doing the same thing. We are not exchanging gifts either because times are harder or we are supporting charities.

Seriously…and ATT charges the same extra $30 a month for the data plan for the IPhone. Without the data plan…you may as well stick with a “dumb phone”.

I’m still TRYING to think of a good reason to own that Iphone and pay that extra $30 a month…but I just can’t seem to come up with anything more than “but I WANT it”.

I’ve been in the process of migrating our cell phones from Sprint to AT&T. Son is the last to be migrated, and over Thanksgiving we looked at phones, which he narrowed down to 2 possibilities. I’ve been watching the prices, and one went from $100 (after rebate) to $0 (after rebate)! He’ll have his new phone when he gets home on Friday.
