^^^That’s about what you would have paid at Steve and Barry’s for that stuff. No wonder they went out of business…

Found an HP printer/scanner/copier at D’s college bookstore marked down to $19.95. They had a whole pallet of them. She called last night to tell us how awesome it worked.

^^^ She should buy the whole pallet, just for the ink cartridges
^^^

toledo - so true!

Not!!! The ink cartridges that come with the printers are usually only half or a quarter full. They want you to buy new ones really, reallly, really soon!!!

Costco refills those cartridges pretty cheaply while you shop.

Bad buy of the day:

Buying HP cartridges for our all-in-one at Staples Friday for $50. Does anyone know if there are any third party replacement cartridges for HP, or are we stuck? Great cash cow for them.

Tell me more about Costco refilling ink cartridges - do they all do this? Only certain brands? How much??? Never heard of this at Costco…

Our money well spent - we got rid of a HUGE pile of branches and brush for only $19! H and I stuffed and compacted everything into the bed of our truck and hauled it to a local topsoil/recycling place. We were charged for only 1 cubic yard (I swear that pile was ginormous!). Good deal, no chipper rentals were needed, and it took us only about an hour!

Not my best deal today, but made a couple of buys during last weeks WOOT-OFF at woot.com. Bought some tshirts for S2, kitchen gadget for me.

If you buy ripped bags of mulch at Lowe’s you get it for half price. There weren’t a lot of ripped bags, but the ones we got only had small rips. And they have plastic bags you can put them in so they won’t spill everywhere.

I know that the most recent Costco coupon book says they will refill cartridges. My friend tried to do this, but she waited too long, until her cartridge was quite out of ink, so Costco said it couldn’t guarantee it would work when it was that dry. She was bummed that she tried to stretch it & ended up sending for a brand new cartridge instead of being able to refill it for about $10 or so at Costco. I have never tried it myself, but there was a $2 off coupon for getting a refill at Costco.

Hopefully, someone who has tried it will chime in & let us know how well it worked for them. The printer we use the most is a solid wax printer that doesn’t use regular ink cartridges, so it wouldn’t work for the wax. We love the printer tho, it really produces quality results.

Walgreens refills ink cartridges as well. I haven’t tried it myself.

Does anyone know any good hair coloring products? Which can cover my gray hair and no ammonia ?
My hair stylist moved out the state and the new salon owner increase the price A LOT !

Don’t tell anyone, but I use Natural Instincts, been too afraid to commit to the permanent color thing ;)

abasket, my dad has his HP cartridges refilled at Costco. very reasonable and he has had no issues. I don’t know if they all do it since he and I use the same Costco. D will be bringing her cartridges home for spring break.

I get my cartridge refills at Walgreens when they run a coupon in their Sunday circular. Very reasonable.

arling…Excellence by L’Oreal. Don’t know if there is ammonia or not, but it definitely covers the grey and is VERY easy to use.

My friend gave me a box of Naturecolor, she bought from Whole Foods. No ammonia. I just wash it off, looks fine but I will wait for couple days after few washes to see how it works.
Thank you thumper1 & herbrokemom !

I don’t know about the ingredients, but I use Redken Shades EQ to cover silver moonlights- it is semi permanent. I am not sure if you can buy it at a beauty supply or not, as my niece has a license and gets it for me cheap :)

It is easy to use
