My first name is so hella common, so I don’t really like it.

When I was younger I hated my first name. It’s 9 letters long and my last name has 5. Ive grown into by now. My name fits my personality perfectly.

My name is completely and utterly boring and average in every way possible.
seriously, it’s:

[common 90’s name of Hebrew origin] [another common 90’s name of Hebrew origin] [common Scottish surname which is the 6th most common in the U.S.]

I have a really good name picked out for my future daughter. Ivy Louise- it’s classic and uncommon but not weird or unheard of. Easy to spell and pronounce, and Louise has familial significance.

I will name my future teddy bear Malik D’Shawn Xiyomarium.

I’m tired of kids showing up at the program where I work with these ridiculous names. There should not be three apostrophes in your child’s name. **** originality, lady!

omg I totally forgot that jk_91 existed until now :O

^^ lol!!! ive seen worse…

i plan on naming my [future]daughter something like ShaniQua, shan’tanya, Bon Qui Qui, Sha’Quaonda, Harlemisha,Elephantisha, OBAMANIQUE or Watermelondrea.

hahhahahahahaha

^I watered down the names considerably.
A kid has a name with 13 letters that I do not believe I will ever learn how to spell. And the poor guy’s only in the first grade.

S.M.H.

Why would anyone ask me what my name is?

^^^those are very unique and interesting names.

<randomthought>I wonder what HarveyLewis’s name is…</randomthought>

^Several people have asked me the same thing, but I refuse to answer. [noparse]:paranoid:[/noparse]

Speaking of names, it bothers me when Asians get an English-language nickname

No, I don’t want to call you Jamie, I want to call you Hee-jin, even if I butcher it. You should correct me until I get it right.

^^^^^ Here’s an easy name for some kids: T/a. Taslashia.

I always introduce myself by my full first name, but a lot of people call me by short versions of it… The normal short version of my name I have had bad connotations with because of a couple of delinquent types with that name I knew when I was younger.

^^ I agree with that… I knew a Polish girl whose name was Anna, which is said “Aynya”. I thought that was beautiful name, but she had a while where she insisted that everyone call her “Anna” in English…

Um er…

I like the first/middle name my adopted parents gave me.
I like my Hebrew name and I like my Korean name.

Many names, many faces! :P

Last name has the pronunciation of ****** (starts with a d and ends in ouche) in it…so not happy about that. Middle name plays off irony, as my middle name is a part of the name of a movie that debuted on my birthday, even though my parents claim that it was after the first letter of my grandmother’s name? First name is common…

I go by my middle name, but I’m planning on going by my first name when I start college. Anyone else doing this?

I go by my first name (even though I hate it) some people make up nick names for me, others don’t, I’d honestly prefer to to be called by my last name though

unfortunately, my name has no associated nicknames

My name is really easy to spell and pronounce, which means the office staff at my high school could call me down to the office without butchering it, whereas anyone with a French, Polish, or German sounding last name was not so lucky
