hopkins has a 46 percent ed acceptance rate and 19 percent reg acceptance rate (the college rep said getting in ed is just as hard as reg decision because more qualified candidates are in the ed round and the number of ed applicants accepted is capped at 30 percent of the freshman class, but i don't believe him. after all, the penn rep lied about that too and the early admissions game book proves her otherwise)

cornell's ed rate is 36 percent, and its overall admissions rate to arts and sciences is 19 percent, and one of my parents went there.

rice has a 30 percent ed acceptance rate opposed to 18 percent reg acceptance rate, and one of my parents went there

At our school if you get a 93 average you are completely expected to go to an ivy or similar caliber school, so a 91 average isn't that bad, and the rice people told my dad that to them, being in the top half at st. john's is looked at as being number one anywhere else.
