SAT II: 800- Math IIC, 740 Physics, 690 U.S. History :/
Other: 5 on APUSH, 4 English, and I am taking 4.5, I guess, AP classes this year: Calc AB, English, Physics, Chemistry. The .5 comes in with a self taught class that I managed to work out. I taught myself calculus at a summer program that forced me to take college algebra, and I thought there might be many things I missed. So, I took Calculus AB, the hardest class my school offers, and haven't learned too much. As I was bored, and because I wanted to learn, I set up to teach myself Calculus BC, as there weren't any teachers who could.
GPA: 3.94 UW

<p>Essays, Teacher Recs, etc. should be good. I put an essay in for every space that MIT offered. :[ There was one problem though. I tried for two months to schedule an interview with an Educational Counselor from MIT and the counselor continually made an appointment and canceled it. I emailed MIT about this around January 1st, and they said they will make a note on my application about this, or something of that sort. They also said it would not hurt me. Should I call them to make sure that they put this note on? (as the percent accepted for an interview is around 19%, while the percent for people that chose not to is 9%)</p>

<p>ok people who just put reach on harvardish schools arent helpign anybody, bc every1 realizes there's no such thing as a match there, i think u have an excellent shot at them all bc of ur math prowess and i saw a similar applicant from my school get in to harvard early action with worse test scores than u but a better rank (1 out of 460) but thats ofcourse relative. i mean math kids dont have the opp's for as many EC's as others, so you aren't overreaching especially since ur alumni at haverford.</p>

<p>i think you have as good a chance as most... i think the eagle scout is helping you a lot</p>

<p>so you've done well enough to put yourself in the crapshoot, meaning probably a 25% chance at harvard/mit/princeton</p>

<p>I think Harvard/MIT/Princeton aren't HUGE reaches, obviously, but I do think at all your schools, especially Williams and Haverford, your Mississippi residency will help, I think?</p>

<p>You have a great shot at all of them. Probably a better chance at Williams and Haverford though. But still, you should be able to get into at least one of the Ivies your hoping for. Good luck.</p>
