2/3 sat ii requirement

i know that most schools require 2 or 3 sat ii scores.
i have a 800 in chem and 780 in 2c (will retake in oct), but i have bio and history scores in the 740 range. would these other scores have a negative impact?

Wow. Could you be more annoying? Those are WAY above average. while they won't give you a huge boost at HYPS, they certainly won't hurt you. And retaking a 780, even on Math 2c? That's just sad. Don't you have better things to do?

yes, you won't be able to go to a college now

Yeah, they definitely will have a negative impact. They'll probably reject you solely on those scores. I'd say maybe you should start researching community colleges and then transfer out to a state school afterwards.

totally appreciate the sarcasm, guys.

totally appreciate the sarcasm, guys.

What irony.

Seriously though, you probably have no chance of getting into any college at all. I mean, only a 780 on the Math IIC!? Good luck ever being a success in life.

can we stop with the whole community college/sarcasm thing? just because a guy has good scores and doesn't seem to acknowledge it doesn't mean they're purposely trying to seem like an ass.

hanguksaram, your scores are great. retake 'em if you want to, but i see no need.

I like this, because its guys like this that get no where in life.
They put all importance on the numbers themselves and not the understanding of the material. They do great in HS, College, and then end up with ****ty number crunching jobs.
Cheers

Ouch. I wouldn't go that far.

But this thread is pretty ridiculous. Obviously your scores are great and obviously there won't be any negative impact.
Advice: Don't retake Math. It is a waste of time.

I would. I know people like this.

the thing with an 800 is that no one will ever know whether u got 0 wrong or 8 wrong (in some cases). thats the difference that makes a 780 or a 790 worth retaking...if u feel u could do better... at least in my opinion

The entire reason everyone's being sarcastic to the guy is because everybody knows that those scores are absurdly good. It appears more like the guy's just rubbing it in everyone's faces while maintaining a facade of decency. Oh, how do I tell everybody I got several outstanding scores on my SAT IIs? Oh, I know! Put it in question form, that's how!

Don't try for an 800 on that Math IIC. You can blame me later if you get rejected everywhere. But if this turns out to be so, it won't be because of that score.

Don't take the Math IIC again.

Scores are fine. Strengthen everything else.

strengthen your moral character

:PPPPPP

jk... ilu i would orgasm for those scores

I cant wait until he has an interview

Mercadente, calm down. You don't even know him. Stop acting like an ***hole.

If I were the OP and I were genuine about not knowing if my scores were good, I would feel very flattered right now.

And Mercadente, the whole CC population is like that. Getting mad won't do anything---just use excessive amounts of sarcasm so you won't look like the bad guy but you get to ridicule the person all the same. :D

Considerable self esteem drop for me.
Bottom line, dude: you'll get into college. you'll survive. don't retake. you're a ****ing genious

:)

Instead of wasting your time retaking the tests, get some friends instead. You will be happy you did.

perhaps a trojan for the future...
