If I haven't received anything from Penn yet confirming my application, should I be concerned?

I called today, the transfer office had not receieved it and when I inquired further the general admissions told me that since they were dealing with freshman they have put off filing and thats why it hasn't been received yet. March 14th is when I sent it in, so I guess that is not too strange.

I sent mine out March 15 and I received a postcard saying that my application was received.

when did you receive your postcard that your application was received? was it delivered to your school address or home address?

delivered to my home address...just said that part 1 was successfully received. sent about 1-2 weeks after...I don't remember the exact date.

has anyone else not received confirmation from penn yet?

i havent received one

You guys are starting to scare me. I think I should call them tomorrow...I still haven't received one :(

I applied online, so I didn't get a post card, but I did get the confirmation email.

However, I have yet to receive my pin.

Oh I applied online too...so I guess I won't be getting a post card. oh well.

I still haven't received a pin yet but I think they say that they will send it at latest by April 25th.

i have a question...do u get the amt of credits that have been transferred from your present school to the school u have applied to along with the decision letter...so that u know your status when you join UPENN.

Omg really?! Hmm...what If some of my stuff got lost in the mail, it'll be too late to contact my profs.

As far as I know, the pin is only to see admission decisions, not for missing credentials. You should call to see if they have everything you needed to send them.

Jacknjill is right. Your pin will not tell you whether your applications is complete, unlike some other schools.

Ahh right, the Penn pin is only for accessing online decisions. I'm getting all mixed up. lol

(Sorry about the double post, can't edit my previous post anymore.)

I called the Admissions Office about two seconds ago, and they said they don't tell you if your application's complete, you have to wait for them to tell you if you're missing anything. Come to think of it now, I think I remember reading that somewhere. Ahh well.

i received my penn pin ages ago... but i didnt receive my cornell pin ...

Well, I'm currently a HS senior and was rejected by Wharton for this upcoming fall. And my SAT scores are pretty low ( 680M 650V 650 W) and I read that UPenn doesn't take SAT scores taken after high school. Since I still have the May test and also the June test, should I give it another shot? (I've taken it 3 x's already)

Also, I'm planning on attending Villanova U and hoping to transfer into Wharton from there.. hopefully after spending only 1 year at 'Nova.

Where did you read that UPENN doesn't take SAT scores from tests taken after high school? I sure hope that is not the case.

....yeah where did you read that Penn doesnt look at SATs taken after HS??? That was the only thing I really had going...
