-NYT
I was told the same thing and can’t create a NetID either. Same boat I guess, hopefully we will get out packages soon What are your stats?

Whats this business about NET id’s? If you can make one your in?

i haven’t got the decision called two days ago and its under review.

NEW2NYU
27 y.o., work experience originating mortgages, bank teller etc.
53 community college credits, 4.0 GPA (they asked for my midterm grades), all pre-requisites completed, good essay, good recs. Applied to Stern.

I pretty sure it’s rejection.

What’s your stats?

i haven’t got mine either
what’s wrong with admission office

still no word but im pretty sure it’ll be later today or tomorrow, the latest. and if not, then w.e. i’m leaving the country.

Wouldn’t you think they would email decisions with formal notice to follow? How much time would that save with everyone calling a few times to check in. Oh well. Wait and wait some more…

hey i know i am really late with this but i applied for nyu with:

fall '09
The Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management

hs g.p.a-3.24
college- 3.72
credits completed: 27
ec: track and field, dance club, and mock trial

I was missing part of my application which I just sent in, do you think its to late or do I still have a chance?

Holyyyyy sXXXXXX
Received an email and im waitlisted…is there a good chance to get off it??
why would they waitlist an applicant :< ?

@smile

there’s probably a few people who were just a little better than you for whatever reason, but NYU doesn’t want to outright reject you. those x amount of people are probably waiting for offers from OTHER schools and are waiting for those other schools and telling NYU they don’t know where they want to go yet.

where there’s a student waiting for Cornell who got into NYU, there’s another student waiting to get into that person’s seat at NYU. . .

what can you do? if you will ABSOLUTELY go to NYU if offered a seat, TELL THEM THAT. send them your final grades (if they don’t have them already), update them on any accomplishments or internships or things that have happened since you sent the midterm report. write them another letter emphasizing the fact that NYU is your number one and that you must be there to study what you want.

Good advice there for smile MAP. I know you posted about transfer dorms, and I’ve seen the websites with good info on the layouts. Two questions, of the ones offered for transfers, can you rank from most to least desirable? Second, I assume that from time to time, an opening might appear at another dorm. Can you request a waitlist for a particular dorm due to HS friend being there?? As always–thanks for your input and interest.

Hi, can some1 please answer this. Some of you guys said that you could or could not make NET ID’s , what do u mean by that? If you enter ur NYU ID and DOB and if it gives u some kind of code to create an account, does that mean uve been accepted? Thanks in advance!

@missamericanpie

Thank you soso much for your precise and helpful answer!!!
It’s kind of shocking; I called around noon and my application was under review, and they sent me an email about 3PM stating that I’m waitlisted lollll wonder if i said anything wrong on the phone XD
I will definitely emphasize on NYU’s role to me in another letter.
Thank you again. You’re another one of my life savers of 2009 :>

I got this e-mail today does it mean for sure I got in
