Accepted: Santa Cruz, Davis, UCSB, UCLA*
Pending: Irvine, UCSD, Berkeley

Transfer GPA: 3.83, Major GPA: 4.0

PS 1: Worked on for months; final draft was excellent.
PS 2: Worked on the night before in a state of delirium; turned out alright.

Lots of Ws on transcript, lots of gaps. One F repeated for a B. Basically I would drop out of school without officially withdrawing, one instructor gave the F instead of the W. Didn’t bother explaining this as the pattern seemed obvious.

*Applied to the School of Arts and Architecture under Design Media Studies. Had to send in a supplemental application with portfolio and additional essay. Invited to open house Mid-March and attended April 9th. They told me I’d passed the portfolio review and I was offered 1/12 spots for transfers this term. The admit rate for the program is something like 4%.

While visiting I was basically told that as long as my units/courses check out as reported on the application that I’m fine, and that I’d get a phone call from A&R if there was a problem. No calls, but I’m still waiting for the official word before I can relax.

The decisions for UCLA are posted now April 25th. Berkeley will post theirs on Friday the 29th. I got in (To UCLA; along with UCSB, UCSD waiting on Berkeley)

Where did you go to view your award letter? I had a difficult time trying to view mine. I established my UCLA logon information and still could not view it.

norcaljoga,
Hey im applying as a sophomore transfer and am completely nervous for the decisions. Do you know when they come out? And what my chances are? I go to UCI and have a 3.4 cumulative and got a 3.67 last quarter. I got accepted in high school too. I applied to School of Arts and Sciences.

Major: Various majors: Neuroscience, Aerospace Eng, Biopsychology, Physics, Math-compsci, and Applied Mathematics in that order but I’ll probably switch to Biochem when I go.

My only TAG was for Davis. let’s see if the last two come through too.

My ECs included Tutoring, I was involved in a few clubs at school, and I also work part time (About 25hrs/week). And I didn’t transfer from a JC so I didn’t have TAP.
