OMG!!! WHAT? HEY GUYS I CAN MAKE MY OWN UCLA EMAIL ADDRESS!!! AS SOON AS I LOG INTO MY URSA IT SAYS:

As a UCLA student, you are entitled to a free UCLA e-mail account. Whatever address you choose, it must be one that is reliable and that you check regularly because the university uses e-mail as the primary medium to send you critical information.

Law, Medical, Dental, and Anderson students are encouraged to select the e-mail address used by their respective school.

IS IT A GOOD THING? AND IT LET ME MAKE AN EMAIL ENDING WITH “UCLA.EDU” SO I JUST MADE IT. DOES ANYONE SEE THIS AS WELL???

@transferca:
that’s what I was seeing too.
I was able to logon to MyUCLA from yesterday morning
and it appears they had some update overnight and show us our major we applied as.
hope this is a good sign for both of us

yea i called an undergrad counselor directly, not the number on the contact us page. I was left a voicemail and given a number to call to update my application

@berkeleyphil:
I have been able to get on URSA and MyUCLA since early February. I created and have used a UCLA email since then (I even changed my facebook network to UCLA to **** my girlfriend off, as she is obsessed with admission and too afraid to try and create a UCLA email). I don’t think that is necessarily indicative of acceptance, as I was able to do it way back before they even began looking at transfers. Then again I was invited to apply for the Regents, so maybe my decision was made earlier.

This is the one I was talking about. I can make my own UCLA email account ending with “UCLA.EDU” and it says that I’m entitled to make it since I’m a UCLA student… does ANYONE see this also? ): it popped up as soon as I logged into My URSA.

@SMCguy:
Yeah I couldn’t see it yesterday. But I can today. Bummer on your expected contribution. I thought I had it bad with 6k from me and 5k from my parents.

@cici, I agree official decisions will probably come out late afternoon if it really is today. However, I think people from last year were able to SIR a few hours before decisions came out so it’s still worth checking up on URSA every hour or so.
