2012 Academic Catalog?

I thought this was supposed to go “live” yesterday? I can’t find it anywhere?

I sure hope it comes out soon. This is worse than waiting for Radiohead tickets to go on sale.
Does anyone know if AP English Lit will count anything toward credits this year?

I believe the new catalog will reflect the following: If a student has taken both the English Lang Comp and English Lit exams and received a 4 or higher on both exams, the student will receive credit for EN 101 and EN 102 and a 3 hour Humanities elective crediit.

It’s up now ;)

finally! My prayers have gone through!

Where are you finding the new catalog. I keep pulling up the 2010-2012 catalog. Am I missing something?

Here’s a link to the 2012 catalog: [The University of Alabama Fall 2012?Summer 2013 Undergraduate Catalog < The University of Alabama](http://courseleaf.ua.edu/)

Thank you!

You’re welcome! It’s a pain to navigate though! If you are looking for the AP and or CLEP credits here is a shortcut: [Credit by Examination < The University of Alabama](http://courseleaf.ua.edu/introduction/academicpolicies/creditbyexamination/)

You saved me…I was lost!

^^Does anyone know what the TRGS Hu or TRGS Hi on AP World and AP Lang/Lit means?

Courses transferred from non-AGSC member institutions that are determined to not have a direct University of Alabama equivalent but deemed worthy of core credit will be noted on the student’s transcript as follows:

• TRGS FC - Transfer Gen Stdy Fresh Comp
• TRGS FL - Transfer Gen Stdy Foreign Lang
• TRGS HU - Transfer Gen Stdy Humanities
• TRGS L - Transfer Gen Stdy Literature
• TRGS HI - Transfer Gen Stdy History
• TRGS SB - Transfer Gen Stdy Soc Behv Sci
• TRGS FA - Transfer Gen Stdy Fine Arts
• TRGS N - Transfer Gen Stdy Nat Sci
• TRGS MA - Transfer Gen Stdy Math
• TRGS C - Transfer Gen Stdy Comp Sci

^Does that mean the TRGS credits count toward a student’s total credit hours for academic standing, but don’t fulfill any specific core requirements?

TRGS credits will count towards both total credit hours and fulfill core requirements. Previous catalogs refer to them as [subject prefix] 197 (or 397) courses as they have no UA equivalents, but will count towards degree requirements. Courses numbered 198 or 398 do not fulfill graduation requirements. TRGS courses would be numbered 197, meaning that they will count towards graduation requirements.

but deemed ** worthy of core credit ** will be noted on the student’s transcript as follows:
