Hey guys anyone want to chance me?
I applied to UCD as a psych major
GPA 3.34
GPA 4.0 in pre major courses
No extra curriculars but I do have a lot of work experience
Also very low income if that makes a difference
Straight A’s the last 2 semesters

Anyway please help and I’ll try to return the favor!

@transfer2best What are your short term(2-3 yrs) professional goals? Do you have an idea about what field/industry in business you want to pursue? Did you write about those specific goals in your personal statement?

Hey guys! new here and would appreciate it if someone could chance me.
Applying: UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCSB
major: psychology
GPA: 3.55
Tap:yes
essay:strong

Applying to UCB & UCLA
GPA - 3.84 or 3.86 (if im lucky for Fall)

Major - Political Econ
Ec’s: Golf, Entrepreneurship club, Starting club, Circle K, tutor High school students, Econ tutor, Vice President of MTS Club(Math tech sci.)PTK Member, Honors Society at CC.
Work: 3 jobs One at my CC promoting small business, intern at a legal firm. 35hours/week 40/ summer, Grocery store
Pre reqs: Done by Spring 2012
IGETC: done by spring 2012

Concerns:
Pre reqs left for winter & spring.
2 W’s during High school. One of them in a Pre req.

The pre req i got a W in was a class where the teacher straight up didn’t show up for 3 weeks. So i dropped it, but later on the class got cancelled.

Other class conflicted with my working schedule.

Hi guys, this is my first post here. Just wanted to see what’s up and perhaps respond to other posts as well!

Overall GPA - 3.818 (all A’s save one C from a terrible english class)
Major - Psychology
TAG - Yes to UCI
Applied to - UCI, UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCSB, UCB, UCSC
IGETC - Done Spring 2012

I guess my chance to USC is low. Got 2 Ws, a fews Cs on non transferable courses. I regret to chill so much on those non transferable classes, now it comes back and hunted me.

PS, screw UCLA, most people are realizing it’s just hype and are going to the “lower” tier UC’s and becoming successful anyways. Unless you’re looking for business or law school, UCLA isn’t that much of a “booster” to secure your future.

No offense to those thirsty for UCLA, but this person has 3.6 and UCLA “won’t look at his/her app”, thats exactly why I wish I had put UCSB instead…

@uctransfer2012 Your chances are really high for UCB because youve got a great mix of ECs- you seem motivated. I dont think you should worry too much about the Ws. Did you explain your reasons in the additional comments section?

Yea i explained the W’s on the application comment section. i was just worried about the gpa portion of my pplication. i dunno if its competitive enough?

International Student
UC GPA: 3.17
Major: Sociology
Colleges Applied: UCB, UCLA, UCD, UCSD, UCR, UCSC
GPA in major classes: 3.65
I had a very good personal statement (in my opinion),
Volunteer: 5 Months overseas (500 hours) helping in a hospital, 30 hours at local senior rahabilitation center, 60 hours at my church
EC/Work: 4 month internship as a service technician at a computer company, 6 week photography course in my home country

O and if this matters I will have proficiency in 2 languages other than english instead of the 1 required, (Hindi is another one). I am taking courses in one and already have certification letter for the other.

Appreciate any input.

And for the record, not counting the last 2 quarters before you transfer is soooo dumb.
