I’ve only gotten UCSD so far, waiting on UCB, UCD, UCLA and UCSB

Thanks guys. Got mine from UCI and all the CSUs so far.

https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/myApplication/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2FmyApplication
you can login here to make sure they got your app!

Thanks @81Mamba ! UCLA says its been received.

I really hope my problem gets resolved fast
Does anyone know about how long it takes for the UC help center(?) [email starts with docs@…] to reply?

They care for commutative GPA, but if you receive a C or lower in any pre-req class, higher UCs could see it in an unpleasant way. Of course it depends on your major. If your major is impacted ( (e.g Haas/engineering in UCB or Math in UCLA)) and you get a C in Calc 2 for example, you can say bye bye (unless you have a very good personal statement/excuse) to your application even if you had 4.0 before that and this is your only C.

They also don’t like to see many non-major/related courses done, especially GEs that can easily bump your GPA if your major GPA suck. Overall, they don’t calculate your major GPA, but be sure that grad school will calculate it, especially science related (med-school/PhD and so on).

@Moshe1010 is math at ucla really impacted? Last I checked it wasn’t. Just double checking.

I haven’t received any e-mail from other UC’s except SD and UCI TAG confirm. They’ve been forwarded but no response. :-S

Hi everyone! I’m new to commenting on college confidential even though I have been spending hours reading through all the message boards lol. Anywho. I was wondering if anyone knew whether a past UC admission being rescinded could hurt future UC admission chances?

For example my application to UCR was rescinded three years ago when I was a high school senior. It was because of a discrepancy on my transcript and once my counselor fixed it, it was all ready too late. I just applied this November as a transfer student and I’m applying to many Ucs, (with the exception of UCR and UC Merced) and I was wondering if my past admission being rescinded will affect my chances now? I’m worried that UCs will look at my past history of being rescinded and hold it against me this year

I do not believe that UCs look or have access to past applications. You should be fine :)

My spring registration date is literally as bad as it gets (a mere week before classes start). I can’t believe I may actually not be able to transfer because of it…

Per Ms. Sun’s website, updated transfer website!

http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/transfer/

I liked that they picked out the most popular majors for specific information. Check it out!

@81Mamba

Math is not impacted.

Got the Davis email today to set up the portal.

So far the confirmation emails I’ve received are UCD, UCLA, UCSD. Any to add? I didn’t apply to every UC.

According to Davis:

Immediately notify Undergraduate Admissions of any changes regarding:

Name, address(es), email address, phone or Social Security number
D or F grades received in courses taken during the 2014-15 academic year
Courses in progress or planned, if different from those listed on your UC application or the UC Transfer Academic Update
Schools attended, including summer session
Grades/scores previously reported

So maybe you can change previously reported grades (not just this fall and spring)? They have a special email for changes to terms already completed, and I thought they said it couldn’t be done through the portals. You would have to do it for all the UCs you applied to. I wonder if that’s a change in policy or if it’s miswritten. It seems like they would want the older term changes to go to central clearing.

Maybe they mean submit changes globally, but give them a heads up?

as far as I know, all math majors in UCLA are under L&S and they are considered “Pre-Math” meaning they are impacted/you can’t get in without passing some classes before actually getting in.

@Moshe1010

“Pre-(Insert major here)” simply means that there will be more classes at the lower division that you have to take avfter being admitted before taking upper-division courses and officially being a major in whatever subject you’re interested in.

https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Majors/lsmajor.htm

^This is a list of all majors in the College of Letters and Science. It also indicates which majors are impacted; none of them are math-related.

Since they might be on the way, has anyone received an audit/verification?

@luckie1367

I recall people getting verification requests starting in January after I applied, so I expect some of you guys to get requests in a couple of weeks.
