@thepinksun Yes after you submit you Commonapp application you should get and email in a few days and you will get a link to sign up for your “YouSC” account. You can also create before but you must use the same email address as the one you used for the Common application so they can be linked together.
Ok guys, so I haven’t received an email asking me to register at “YouSC” but I did registered anyway. I used the same email that I used for the Common Application. I was able to sign into the portal but everything seems to be limited. JDAY112, do you have any special access? Can you see anything?
@TheTank00 You should see the headers on the left saying “Applying to USC”, “Financial Aid” and “Visit USC”.
Interesting. I logged in and on the left hand side I have “Respond to a communication from USC”, “Join our mailing list” and “Sign up for a campus tour.” I feel like I am missing something.
@TheTank00 That was the same screen I had before I had my application sent. If you did happen to already send it, just wait a day or two and it should show you the headers I mentioned.

@TheTank00 Just a quick question for you, did you already send your transcripts and if so do you know how USC will identify the transcripts and SAT to our common application?
I sent them yesterday. I am not sure how they will do that exactly. Actually, I had not thought about that.
@TheTank00 Yeah I assumed it would be the same as first year admits but some people in this thread are talking about some barcode or ID that should be attached with it so idk.
I sent my transcripts before I submitted my application. Will the college be able to keep things together somehow?

I think you guys are fine. I sent them after I applied (with no USC ID on it).
If you have any other concerns, contact your USC admissions counselor.

Does anyone know how to refresh their portal if they applied as a freshman, but am reapplying as a transfer now?
My portal has been updated now.
I have not received a transfer packet.
So I called USC admissions and asked them if you send your transcripts without any USCID# (which I did), what would happen? They told me that they will cross reference everything, in other words, if USC has your transcripts without a USCID #, they will find you and get processed all the same.
