@wickedwarrior777 if you see this thread from last year: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/19787575/#Comment_19787575
everyone tends to hear back around June 15th. Also, admissions will tell you “May to July, but probably mid-June” which fits the timeline for June 15th. Mind you the reason why it is June is that a majority of transcripts won’t arrive until late may so the decision takes a couple of weeks from there. Just be patient and good luck to everyone. My advice for the meantime is to continue to do great things and update the admissions department on them!
If I’m gonna have 30+ hrs. after May, I can’t update my resume or anything so how can I tell the admissions counselors of new things that I’ve done like internships? I can’t right?
@utcswannabe if I have 53 hours, I can update them about things such as getting summer internships/learning I made last semesters deans list? I’m confused as to how this would be possible.
@wickedwarrior777@aatwe28 If you applied (The transcript you sent closest to the march 1st deadline) with 30+ hours, there is no updating any part of your application. Your application is being looked at as we speak, and the decision should be made sooner than people who applied with less than 30 credit hours.
Someone chance me? I’ll chance you too if you message either on here or private message me!!
Major: CNS Biochemistry
GPA: 3.82
Essays: Pretty solid essays talking about the healthcare industry.
Extracurriculars: Radiation Oncology Internship
Cardiology Internship
Physical Therapy Internship
International Urology and cardiothoracic Internship scheduled for this summer in India for 7 weeks.
Letters of Reccomemdation: 3 from the doctors with whom I have worked with so UT admissions counselors know that I am not lying about my internships.
That happened to me- having to drop for medical reasons- and I called UT and they said they do not care at all about drops as long as we have the 30+ and if your major has req. classes if you dropped that specific course. But otherwise they do not care.
Should get in, you have a very solid application. I doubt that class drops make a difference as long as you meet the requirements. what school are u coming from btw?
