2016/2017 UT Austin Transfer Thread

I GOT IN!!! and so did my friend!!! dreamed of this moment since I was 5 years old… this is unreal.
CONGRATS EVERYONE!!!

When are financial aid notifications released for transfer students? I have to decide whether or not to enroll by May 1st apparently and I don’t want to make a decision without knowing what my financial aid will be…

I realize I didn’t put what I got accepted into… I was accepted with my first choice major of journalism with a 3.84!

@averymc Did you guys hear back on a Saturday?

@Kimberlytori I’m glad to find someone going through the same problem! Thank you so much for letting me know  Fingers crossed that they’ll be somewhat understanding!

@emu_25 I am in the same boat as you.

So do they send decisions to one school at different times? It seems pretty mixed up right now… I figured they would send out a whole school at once if you had 30+ hours

Does anyone know when we get our utexas.edu emails?

Anyone going to orientation in the Houston Area! (I’m in Cypress)

they have one in houston?! when is it? i live in houston

@utcswannabe ^^

i got in!!! COLA - government major!!! congrats to everyone who got accepted!

let me elaborate on my stats:
3.65 GPA. i only had 2 government courses down because I switched from STEM to govt. i had no letters of recommendation, and my resume ECs and the ECs on the applytexas app were mainly from high school. honestly, I’m surprised I got in but im glad! see yall in austin!

Do they accept more people in mid April than in the summer? Like is it easier to get in with 30+ hours? Will a 3.7+ GPA get into COLA if I applied with less than 30 hrs?

@mmm303 I’ve been trying to figure it out too. I was thinking maybe it’s based on when you submitted your application, or perhaps names?

@p0726n I meant people who live in Houston that are going to the Transfer Orientation lolol

@adr1697 you can just create one ,as long as you have a UT EID

@rjbolger me too, we only have 2 weeks to decide

@Meiliu I already clicked accept lol

yall, im trying to make my decision now. do you think some courses and housing options are already filled? im worried because I dont want to transfer into courses with bad profs because I accepted and signed up for classes late
