Well itâs kinda of all three things when accepted @uniquename1
You get the âgonetotexasâ acceptance banner in the mail with the acceptance letter but thatâs a few days after you are accepted on your online UT Account.
Then online you see congrats youâre admitted and you accept or decline your offer and then you have a certain amount of days to pay the fee. And you do all the tasks it tells you to do since youâre admitted.
@uniquename1 Well I never received a letter or the banner in the mail after being accepted. And I already accepted admission at a different school so, maybe you do have to accept your admission at UT to get one. Not really sure.
@wickedwarrior777 GPA: 3.74, 38 hours, 2 LOR, In state, 2 essays for RTF
I actually moved here from another country a few years ago so this is my first proper try out at transferring. Itâs scary as hell for some reason.
Applied to Moody/RTF
Have 50 credit hours from an out of state art University
My GPA was a 3.86
1 LOR from a screenwriting professor who works in the film industry
Just did the required essays, but I think theyâre good
Was on the deanâs list twice, and presidents list once (there for 3 semesters)
Had 80+ volunteer hours at a film festival
1 of 30 students nationwide chosen for a student film program with the Santa Barbara international film festival
I just finished a semester (12 credits) at community college and earned a 3.69 gpa for the semester (my current school doesnât do + or - grades, so my 87 in bio ended up being a solid B, which brought my GPA down a little)
If anyone could chance me that would be great
Thanks!
@student2525 I requested that ACC send my transcripts, even though Iâm not required to send anything because I have 30+hours. I just thought itâs better that they see you accomplished more of the technical courses and it helps if you want to add good grades to your application. I donât know why I waited this long before I thought of sending my current semester transcripts but I finally did!
Can someone chance me I will be applying for next fall,
(I go to a Texas community college)
Classes:
I have all three sciences done for the science requirement (just changed) bio1,bio2,geo1
Iâll have all three calculus(about to take calc 3) done
I have finished the art requirement (theatre)
I have programming fundamentals 1 and 2 and data structures done
Iâll have the 2 history classes done 1301 and 1302
I have federal and Texas government done
(the last history class and my social science credit anthropology, and my Texas govt I will be taking my last semester so they wonât see the grade just that I am taking the class)
if the fall semester goes well ill keep my 4.0 (spring Iâm not taking any hard classes)
Extracurriculars:
I built my first neural network(machine learning) with the help of a book I bought
I was VP then moved up to president of the computer science club
I started a hackathon competition at my school (Worked out a deal with my school to get the competition partially funded by them)
I have a service learning designation on my transcript that shows i did a lot of community service
I helped a transfer student from Vietnam every Friday with his computer science homework
I received an outstanding leadership award at my collegeâs award banquet
I planned to have a gaming competition next year for the computer science club, that requires canned food to enter, this food will be donated to people in need in my community
Cons:
(graduated in 2015)
I left college after the first day because I became ill, (no penalties, no wâs because I left so early)
I also for my first semester at my community college of that same year i only took one class precalc
(I was still horribly ill )
(that was for the 15-16 academic year ^)
(But this year was my first âFullâ year i took 13-15 credits each semester, total credits right now is 32)
(16-17 year)^
My major, I want to go into is computer science
(I am so nervous)
@utcshopeful you seem like have it all. I know some kid got into computer science major for the fall 2017 and he is a transfer student from ACC. He didnât even start with calculus 3 or physics. He did up to calc 2 and all the other requirements like literature and stuff like that. He got admitted very quickly into computer science like almost in mid-march and I think itâs because he ONLY applied to computer science major, he did not pick a second choice. You donât have to do that though, Iâm not 100% sure thatâs the case!!! He wrote his essays about his struggle with ADHD and how he was raised in Asian family and culture while being born in the U.S. Anyway, best of luck!
Hey, can some help me out, freaking out just a little bit. I know RTF is hard to get into, but do I have a chance.
3.63 GPA
3 LOR

Multiple awards from film festivals
Graduated high school at 15
16-year-old sophomore
