2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

thanks! it was very unexpected

@Panitaispretty Yup, from past trends and personal experience. The 2014 stats thread has decisions around April 28th/29th or so. I also got my SGR around that time. I definitely think you guys should really put an effort into maintaining a stats thread this year  It really helps to see stats and decision dates in a thread that is easy to browse :stuck_out_tongue:

@zettasyntax Where were the old USC transfer threads? Im having such a hard time finding them!

@Transfer510 I just google “2014 USC transfer decisions college confidential” and I find one thread that I like. That was a really interesting year. Marshall applicant with a 3.42 GPA being accepted, Viterbi engineering applicant with 3.5 GPA getting in, etc.

Is there any possibility that 3.4-3.5ish gpa getting into Linguistics major? Or anyone heard of those cases before?
I know that few of the UCs’ have 3.5ish gpa trend with my major but not quite sure how USC gpa trend is. I know that they do not show individual major by major with the average gpa but is there anyone who knows the trend?

@zettasyntax that’s interesting… 3.42gpa accepted to Marshall? I think that applicant had tremendous ECs… like few interns… college president… something like that?

guys I just checked my portal and under required documents its requesting for my de anza transcript once again, is this a WGR? im on a quarter system.

nvm just got an email from USC admissions as well, it was WGR.

hey guys! I am wondering if anybody’s “appeal of admission” is still listed in their required documents in their youSC portal- mine has disappeared. I am also wondering if “college/university unofficial transcript” has been listed in the required documents section of the portal this whole time or if it was just added.

@gatsby22 “Appeal of admission” has been gone for me for a while, and I don’t have “college/university unofficial transcript” on my portal. Are you on the quarter system? It may be a WGR if you are but I’m not too sure because I’m on the semester system

@ashurikko Hmm okay. I’m on the semester system and I have not received an email for an SGR thus far.

Hey! Same–and congrats! I will definitely choose USC over Vandy…if I have the choice. Fingers crossed!

I don’t remember ever seeing an appeal admission in the Document Management System. My required documents says “none” despite USC saying I had to submit a “missing file” to them. Yet there is nothing to submit under the required documents tab [-( :))

I’m still waiting for my CSS Noncustodial Parent file to go away, I sent in the waiver once 2/26, and another time a few weeks ago… I would assume that if they deny the waiver, they would send me an email about it instead of just staying silent and expecting me to send the CSS Noncustodial Parent profile in. Anyone else send in financial aid info that hasn’t been removed from the required documents section? I’m wondering if maybe they just haven’t gotten to it yet since this is probably the time that financial aid is sorting out issues with entering freshman

So idk how credible this is but I was at our school gym and saw a another hopeful transfer to USC, he told me his friend was rejected last week from USC Marshall with a 3.8 gpa - junior standing.

@bugajskj considering the thousands of transfer applicants that USC receives, I definitely wouldn’t be shocked… however, if there’s a rejection this early on, the applicant probably had some major thing missing like the calc or writing requirement. You’d be surprised how many people apply to USC with little to no knowledge of the requirements lol

@penntousc I was thinking the same thing, I told him a rejection this early means he might have missed something. It’s all hearsay but figured it was relevant…maybe get some people freaked out in here lol

@penntousc I would log on to the you.usc portal and call the number on the bottom of the webpage to ask

@dvalenc7 I’ll give that a shot after class, for some reason calling slipped my mind lol

Come on USC just give me a decision already
