Interesting. What country are you from? Just read an article posted by Georgia Tech about visa difficulties students are encountering. Didn’t sound like in these areas it was an easy thing to do at all.
Hey did you try the instagram page? To send the request to join?
it’s past june 30… should we just assume that’s it? no more hope?
TBH yeah I doubt they’ll send any acceptances now. But they should send a formal email saying the waitlist has closed now soon. There is always a chance of an extended waitlist - but no other Ivy or similar caliber top university had an extended waitlist this year, so again Columbia most likely (99%) will not have one either. Do let me know if you hear something about an extended waitlist though, or even if they finally send the email saying the waitlist is closed.
I hope you guys secured an admission offer at another university of your preference. Good luck y’all!
daughter received email - she did not get in, but we are really happy with her chosen school.
That’s great - this year really was unbelievable, and even making the waitlist for Columbia is really impressive. It had the lowest acceptance rate after Harvard (and possibly Stanford but Stanford didn’t announce theirs).
Does someone mind pasting the email below btw? Can’t see anything anywhere?
did not get it, can you please explain little bit more, you get acceptance from the waitlist and what instagram , what did you put
if you reapply apply to Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford and MIT. Do one EA and the rest RD. You have an impressive activity list and those schools are the only ones who don’t hurt international students for needing aid.
@ojllfdjalkjf stanford is NEED AWARE for international. It is NOT one of the five colleges that are both need blind and meet full need for all accepted international students.
Those five schools are Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT and Amherst.
Please stop posting that Stanford is in this group. That is inaccurate information and you have posted it on multiple threads.
Yes. Sorry about that mistake. I incorrectly read somewhere they were and with as much money as they have, it is weird that they are need aware for internationals.
All need aware means is that level of financial need could be considered when admissions is decided. Stanford does guarantee to meet full need for all admitted international students.
There is no college with a bottomless pit of money. Stanford is very generous.
