Last November, I took the SAT for the first time and received a 2120 (680CR, 730M, 710W). I was aiming for a 2200+ but was still pleased to have gotten this score on my first try. I was planning on retaking in March, but I was convinced by my school counselor to take the ACT before retaking. Took the ACT for the first time in February, and to my shock, received a composite score of 35.

Now I'm unsure of if I should take the SAT again in October. Several of the schools I'm hoping to apply to ask for all scores, and since I'm sending in SAT II scores, they will also see my 2120, along with my ACT score. Will this detract from my application? I know they're both wonderful scores, but I don't want any colleges to think my 35 was a fluke and that my level is near 2100. Also, I'm unsure about whether or not SAT scores pull more weight in admissions.

If I do retake it, I'm also unsure of if I can raise my score over the 2200 benchmark. I don't want to retake and get something worse! This is my first time posting on CC despite being a longtime lurker, and could really use some help. Thanks for your time!
