My reaches are still Binghamton U.(#1), Geneseo U., and now Stony Brook U.
A few safety schools for me are Albany and Molloy College.(mother is a professor here)
Might also apply to Penn State(but not sure of their rep now…) and I’m still searching for a few more to apply to. If anyone has some ideas… fire away!(Northeast US preferably)

Even if I do get my 2100, my 3.2 WEIGHTED gpa is killing me.

Since I think I did fairly well on October math,(640-680) I figure with the last week of studying I’ll go hardcore on CR and Writing so I can pull up to 7’s on both. Math is getting tedious and I feel crunched for time; I just can’t work up the energy to sit down and do it.

How about Northeastern University? It’s in the NE!

Well, if you can “make up” for that gpa somehow in your application, you still have a pretty good shot. I’m banking on my EC’s, Recs, test scores, and the essay.

I did a little in Grubers and I’m liking it a lot. (Only wasted around 40% of my day. Not going to waste anymore because there are only 12 days until the test) Grubers is my new friend! (How pathetic…)

Not too much longer and you’ll have your test results!!!

I’ll do my best to make up for it with my essay, but my lack of EC’s is another negative.

Banking on my SAT’s…

I definitely like Grubers > Pwn the SAT so far, but I’m going to be working on CR and Writing for a while, so I’ll probably check out Barrons and continue with RR.

Ok am I the only one who finds the blue book maths harder than the barron’s book maths? Really I am sooo confused. WIth barrons I’m around 640 but with the blue books I’m ranging around 590’s

Each test is a slightly different difficulty wise, and it will also depend on what questions happen to appear. 50 points isn’t much, well within the fluctuation zone.

Marie well for me I’m opposing my friends haha
English is easier for me than math
I’m gonna start with Barron’s E-Z math now to develop my weak points in math.
Essay in SAT too needs improvments.
Lately in my full-length test I’ve done awful in the critical section no idea why /:

I’m revising upon 200 words from Direct hits, once I finish I’ll start with more 50 words.
Btw using mnemonic dictionary really helped me memorize !
At least worked for me haha

@farouz,
CR is tough on almost everybody. So, it’s not just you! Right now, I’m scoring in the 600 range and I haven’t even prepped for it, but my writing is declining.

Yeah, over half of those diagrams trip me up! It’s just something that I really need to study.

I’ll be taking the SAT for the first time, so I feel like I shouldn’t be pressured as much as I am. However, the essay is incredibly difficult for me, mostly due to the lessons pounded into my head in AP History on how to write a good essay being antithetical to the methodology of the SAT Essay. I keep trying to find as many examples as possible, and then try to not waste space in the essay with repetition. In the practice tests I’ve taken (including a few fairly recent tests from 2005,) I’m missing only 1 or 2 in Math/Critical Reading, and a range of 1-4 in writing; therefore, the essay is incredibly important for my overall score.

Sorry for wasting space with my stress relief.

@Geneti,
Wow! You aren’t missing many! Find examples that will be able to go with almost any prompt that you are given. One of mine is Socrates.

Nah, your rant is fine I ramble on wayyy too much about stuff like this to my friend.
