26 days until the November SAT

Let the countdown begin!

Dudee, you seriously need to get studying! Those 700+'s aren’t going to come without some studying! Well, unless your October results come out to a 2100+, of course!

I’m procrastinating on my physics…

@Marie96, Reckie: Thanks!

@Marie, I’m going to study really hard for Writing this time. Drop a 700+ and then not have to worry about it anymore. Maybe I’ll be able to bump up my CR score a little bit too. I’m banking on the December SAT for the 700’s lol.

I love my excuses. They’re pro.

I’m doing the barrons 27th edition. Actually i just realized I do better in the writing section of barron’s too… oh dear

@Reckie,
Come on!! Get some motivation and inspiration!! You want those acceptance letters, right?!? Arghhhhh! Nah, not pro…

@Ssparkk,
About your previous post on pg 6, I did notice that some of the Math was harder in the BB than Barrons…but then again, maybe I just haven’t studied that information yet before I quit with it. I’m working in Grubers, but the Barrons I was using was the 26th edition.

10 days left

I have no inspiration! I’m really scared about the scores tomorrow, which I know are going to be low. :(

Let that be your inspiration! Do you really want to have that feeling of knowing your scores are going to be low for this next round of SAT’s too?!

I haven’t done any studying at all today because I just got back from my 10:30am-5pm class…

That’s the most un-inspiring thing I’ve ever heard. :)

Ehh, well, that backfired lol. I’m gonna say that you are gonna use that post as an excuse? Yeah, pretty sure you are… now that’s pro.

Joining the thread! Writing is my weakest point, so I went through a grammar book and am now just doing practice tests. I’m going to try to do 6 full tests by next-next Thursday (1 Thursday night, 1 Friday (no school), 1 Saturday, 1 Sunday, 1 Tuesday Night, 1 Thursday Night).

Do you think it’s worth relearning perms and combs? Totally forgot them (Algebra 2/Precalc was a few years back).

@ecouter11,
I think if you do some good review over those, a lot of the information should come back to you. Either way, it won’t hurt anything.

What score range is your writing in?

A full test almost everyday is pretty tough… I wasn’t going to start doing that until next week lol. I want to finish more math prep first, along with some CR and Writing review before I start the practice tests.

I haven’t done that many tests combined in my life. Now. I. Feel. Like. A. Slacker.

Thanks bruh. :)

I’ve only done two…

I’ve been stuck on what subject tests to take. Depending on whatever my Nov. score comes out to be, I’ll be taking them in either Dec. or Jan… Haven’t studied at all today. Blehhh! :frowning: Oh well, I have a totally legit excuse :)

Scores…

700CR(up from 630)
610M(up from 580)
610W(EXACT SAME)

Shows how ■■■■■■■■ I am at math, I thought I got a 670. I really thought I got under a 600CR, and now I have to study all month for my least favorite topic. I’m done with CR though, and I’ll break 700 writing this november. Oh math. My achilles heel.

Scores are pretty good! Good job on the CR

9 days left

Its my first time taking sat. i wiil be little nervious.
Hope get good SCORES
9 days left…

Thanks Marie. Math is going to be tough. 1310/16 right now, so if I can push up my math score I’ll be close to 1400, and hopefully with writing I’ll break 21.

What are your goals, again?

How are you planning on upping your maths score? I really need to get better too

I have Dr. Chungs, Grubers, Pwn the SAT, Kaplan SAT Math workbook, Barrons SAT 2400, Princeton Review, and the blue book.

I plan to…

 • use Grubers to isolate my weaknesses.
 • fix those weaknesses.
 • PRACTICE, practice, PRACTICE!
 • do a TON of practice problems, learning exactly how to do the ones I get wrong.
 • PRACTICE, practice, PRACTICE!
 • Take a ton of practice tests.
 • Read some guides from established members on CC, for tricks and tips.
 • PRACTICE, practice, PRACTICE!

Basically.

@Marie, I got 62 multiple choice and an 8 on the essay. If I had gotten a 12, what would my score have been? I got a 610 with the 8.
