It is absolutely imperative that on this next ACT that I get a 28 or better. Right now I'm at a 25 and I have only 2 and a half weeks left. I have the Real ACT Guide but I don't know if this will be enough. What can I do that will help me get the score I NEED!!??

Practice tests! At this point just review some of the basic strategies and materials you don’t understand (math+grammar only) and then practice. Try and make the environment as close to the real testing situation as possible (meaning only take breaks at the break spot) and once you’ve scored your tests go through all the questions you’ve got wrong and make sure you understand why you got them wrong, whether its because you were rushing or because you didn’t understand the material. If after this you still aren’t improving maybe change your test date to the October date or just sign up to do it in addition to the September date. Hope this helps.

I agree with maymay5678. Practice tests are king. I would take it one step further, don’t bother studying any background strategies, just jump into the exams, you will figure out strategies as you go.

Also, I think you should change your attitude a bit. Its hard to learn when you are under stress. Instead of freaking out about a particular score, stay focused on working hard and learning. If you are spending time on the practice exams and going over the questions that you missed carefully then you will maximize your score gain.
