3/16 Fin Aid email means what?

Did anyone else get an email around 3/16 regarding financial aid info?

The fin aid office listed all the forms they received (seems complete) then notes that they need "the following additional information to determine if financial aid can be provided if you are admitted". But the missing form they list, already appears on the received list at the top of the email.

Ques 1 - Since I can't get in touch with them over the weekend - did anyone else receive something like this?

Ques 2 - If they're still reviewing my fin profile on 3/16, shouldn't I be allowed to feel just a wee bit of optimism that my application will be approved? ;)

I think that Tufts is a "need blind" institution with regard to admissions, so
I don't think this request means anything in terms of your chances for admission. Admissions and Financial Aid Depts are separate
Sorry

Yes, I undertand that to be true. I just wonder if Tufts fin aid department would actually evaluate 15,000+ sets of fin aid documents, particularly one that might have already been eliminated from the pool.

Just fishing for some optimism.........:)

I say, go with optimism, why not? Tufts is not need blind, just trying to get there. I would take their question as a good sign.

Called Tufts - they said eveything was in order- optimism continues....:)

Um...Tufts isn't need blind, but they're working on it, and the offices are separate, so it probably doesn't mean anything that they contacted you about missing forms.
