3 more reasons why cornell rocks...

I just had dinner with Bill Nye (the science guy)

I'm having dinner with the dean of the ILR school tomorrow

I'm having lunch on thursday with (once again!) Bill Nye.

Not bad for my first semester here. This stuff didn't happen at my previous school. Only at a place as wonderful as Cornell.

Care to go a little more into the background of the situation?

mm....bill nye....brings back good memories of science videos in middle school

he's a visiting professor here at Cornell. I was one lucky enough to get to the sign up sheet for the lunch. The dinner was just a general dinner/lecture type thing. Anybody could have showed up, but thankfully people kept things on the down low so it wasnt crowded with people. Everybody got to meet him and have a picture or two!

Bill Nye gave a guest lecture in my nanotechnology class today. It was really cool, and afterwards he took pictures with anyone that wanted one.

His lecture was pretty entertaining as well as informative.

perhaps its already widely known, but just in case...

Bill Nye is a Cornell Alumnus - Class of '77

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Nye

I didn't know that. NOw I do :D

Whoa that's really cool. Man I really hope I get in as a transfer.

Sideshow Mel from the Simpsons is a Cornell alumnus also.

Sideshow Mel - Frasier - Kelsey Grammar...
Cornell = way cool.

Toni Morrison also went there. She's super cool.
And umm... the guy that did Monty Python's Holy Grail, I think... ugh, what's his name?

John Cleese... like Nye, he's a visiting professor...although unlike Nye he is not an alumnus.
