A bunch of advice for a hopeful aggie?

I'm trying to get into Mays, but I like to study Econ and I was wondering if there is anyone on this forum who has taken Econ at Tamu already? If so, what is your advice for teachers, your experience with jobs afterwards and were you happy with your time there.

Plus, I'm probably not going to get into Mays, but do you think I have a good shot at Econ. I have like 30 hours done and in the process of 12 more. A's in both principles of Econ, A's in the first business math and first accounting class and in the process completing the second business math and the second accounting class. Overall, a 3.8 GPA.

Plus, has anyone taken the Business minor at TAMU? Some say it's good and others say its worthless. Lastly, what do you all think about me transferring back to my CC and getting an Associate's Degree in Accounting mixed with a B.S. in Econ, do you think that would add something to my resume? If I mispelled some words, it's because I'm on the phone. Thanks in advance.

why dont you think you can get into mays? if you have a 3.8?

Because after talking to a admissions counselor named Luis or something, he told me that Mays is only accepting 75 transfers total for Fall '10-Spring '11 and that for the past few years all acceptances have had all the required courses done. I’m missing MGMT 211 or something and it sucks because my CC didn’t even offer the class. Plus, I had no idea it was a required course like the Econs, Busi. Maths and Acct Classes were. Nowhere on the website or the other times I talked to admit couselors was it even hinted at being required.

o well it shouldnt be to hard to do an internal transfer

bump…

Try to get into Mays. It’d be better than econ.
