"A Chous Line" audition on Broadway

Any one else know someone or have a kid who attended this past weekend's open auditions for the upcoming revival of "A Chorus Line" on Broadway?

My dd, who attends a college in NYC, went to the open auditions on Sat and made it to down to 17 (from 372)...and they kept her resume'! She was happy to just have the chance to dance for them! What an exciting day for her very first broadway audition....

To add further interest to the whole experience, evidently a documentary-type video is being filmed of the entire process of the "making of" the revival of the show, and she was interviewed while standing in line (in the rain), and the entire audition process was filmed. She also noticed that the auditioners were mic'ed, so she figures, if this show ever airs she might get to hear their comments about herself...kind of an interesting thought! Also, she said it was kind of funny when they would interview people when they were cut and ask them how they felt. They seemed to expect devastation a'la "American Idol", but these people did NOT react that way! She was pretty amused at that...

churchmusicmom-Congratulate your daughter! That's terrific. What a fantastic first time experience. She's going to be on cloud nine for a long time, I bet.

great story..she must have a special spark to have made it that far in the auditions...

She was pretty excited, it's true!
