Match, yes. Safety, no.

I agree, a match.

They still have rolling admissions, no?

Assuming that they do, just apply early and see what happens. If you get in, you can 86 your safties.

safety...people, he's from Michigan...why wouldn't they accept him? Dude, don't worry about it, automatic acceptance.

I'd still say she's not far enough above the average in-state student to count Michigan as a safety, though.

Switching to Modified Rolling w/Early Response:

Not even CLOSE to a safety. I'd say it's closer to a slight reach as opposed to safe match. I was in-state, legacy, had a 3.65 + 32 ACT and I was deferred before accepted. My friend with a 3.7 + 33 ACT was deferred/waitlisted/rejected and he's in-state as well. Not to mention my other friend was deferred/accepted with a 3.6 + 31 ACT.

i like how you all call her a "he" when ya, she's a female... lol

I had a 3.7 and a 29 ACT in state and got rejected. I don't think it's a safety for you.

Yeah, I'd say match.

PS are you applying to the LSA, or engineering? If its engineering, you are definitely not a safety.

Lori, your GPA and ACT are roght around the mean at Michigan, and Michigan no longer accepts 60% of its applicants. I'd say Michigan is a match.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

That's great, wow this university is unbelieveable. God I hope they go private in the future.

Alexandre.....why can't you just agree with me :(

michigan STATE would be a safety for you.

Not a safety, better fill out the MSU application as well.

But I think your chances of getting in are pretty good. You have to apply to find out. Good luck.

If you were so inclined to go to MSU you would be in the honors college

why can't i edit my post? oh well
