im an out of state student applying as an undergrad for university of washington seattle this year. around what SAT do i need to get as an out of state so that it is good enough for UW.
is 2040 a good SAT score for UW if im an oos?

SAT scores don’t matter if your other stats are really bad/good. For example, if you have 2040 SAT but with 1.0 GPA (dramatic), then it will be very hard for you to get into UW. On the other hand, 1900 SAT with 4.0 GPA (unweighted) will give you a high chance since the SAT/GPA balances out.

Also, remember that essays and ECs count! =)

my weighted gpa is 4.05 and unweighted is 3.68 with 8 AP classes/8honors ive nevr taken normal classes. and i go to a public that ranks in the top 150 public school in america so its pretty competitive.

Do competitiveness really count that much? Then I guess I’m above 99% of the students in America =P

silly side note aside, GPA seems to be corresponding with your SAT scores, so you should be fine with that. What I’m more curious about is the ECs. You have to show them who you are, not just based on those scores =)

supernovamaniac: competitiveness doesnt really count that much but they still look at it.
