A.P. Tests

Do colleges accept all or most of your A.P./ CLEP credit? I was wondering because I was thinking of taking a lot of A.P.'s and CLEP's and I'm just worried that they might go to waste? Please Reply Thanks.

it depends on the score you receive on the AP tests whether you get college credit or not so before you sign up for a bunch of APs you might want to check the scores the schools you are interested in require for credit and also think about how committed you will be to getting good scores on the actual tests. dont just take them to take APs.

Many schools limit the amount of advance credit you can obtain. Also...many schools limit advanced standing through APs. You can get to take a course of higher level but not much else.

It varies from college to colleges. Some accept no AP credit, others take a handful of tests with 4's and 5's and some will give you credit for every single test you get a 3+ on. Each college's AP policy varies from year to year - check individual college websites (or the CB website for links to AP policies for each college)

Watch out, not all college grant clep credit: <a href="http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_clep/searchCLEPColleges.jsp%5B/url%5D">http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_clep/searchCLEPColleges.jsp</a></p>
