wiis, because they are always sold out. There are never enough.

I've never played a PS3 but, I would say the Wii is King, it has def. dominated sales. I agree with shiftyeyes, because well it sold so much because it isn't just for the hardcore gamers. It's for anyone who can afford it. My little cousins just got one for christmas and had them (7 & 8 years old) to me (16) to my cousin (27) to my uncles (50-60s) to my GRANDMA (80ish) playing it. It's a system that is fun for everyone; including but not limited to the gamers..

Although this is true, the hardcore gamers hate the Wii. The software is nothing but shovelware. I've seen 3 good games on it: zelda, metroid, mario galaxy. and the first twowere almost 9 months apart. The Wii is an underpowered piece os **** and I am only going to get one for SSBB. The line up sucks. Seriously a cooking game how much lamer can the wii even get? You can't go wrong with either a ps3 or 360 , just look at their lineups.

You forgot one of the most anticipated games in history for 08.... RE5

All I gotta say is;

Gears of War
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4

= Xbox 360 owns the crappy Wii that is for 10 year olds and owns the PS3 that's just a wannabee xbox.

And since halo 3 was the best selling entertainment product in history (no movie, music CD, or other thing has sold as much!), I'd say that speaks for itself. And since the stuff is already so expensive ($500+ if u want everything to play) then I'd assume if it was cheaper sales would quadruple++++

Halo 3, GTA 4, RE5, COD 4.... Can't beat that.

The PS3 a wannabe Xbox? Considering that the Xbox is the newest player on the field, I'd say that the 360 is a little bit more of a newbie than the PS3.

The success of Halo 3 is due to the awesomeness of Halo 3, not the awesomeness of the Xbox360. Let's not confuse the two.

CoD4 is a multiplatform, and it looks just as good (if not better) on the PS3.
GTA4 and RE5 are also multiplatform.

But I don't have a beef with the 360. It's a fine console with great games.

I DO have a beef with the Wii. The target audience is female gamers, casual gamers, and kids. Economically speaking, it was the smartest and has sold the most. Nintendo choked supply to prolong the frenzy over the Wii--if the 360 or the PS3 had limited supply to a dozen consoles per store every couple of weeks, there would be a shortage as well.

No real gamer fell for the nunchuck control besides the Nintendo diehards.

My real problem is with what I fear is a slippery slope regarding first-person shooter games on the Wii. In addition to waving your wand around to aim, CoD has an option to physically reload your shotgun (using the wand) before firing. You aren't just pushing a trigger and some buttons in your lap anymore--you're actually holding a simulated gun, directing it, reloading it, shooting it.
What demographic especially loves the Wii? Kids.
I normally wouldn't care about kids with violent video games--I myself have played Counterstrike since I was 11 (I'm 17 now). But I always knew it was fake-I was pushing buttons on a keyboard and directing my gun with a mouse that stuck every few seconds. Would I have thought the same if I were pointing a rifle at an Ultranationalist's head, pulling the trigger, and physically diving to the left (under cover) to manually reload?
Boys love violent games. Kids like the Wii. Developers are inevitably going to make more realistic FPS games for the Wii. The three are going to collide.

What does the Wii have? Superior graphics? No. Superior processing? No. High definition? Not really. What it DOES have is a unique control system and a load of developers who want to make games for the console. So what is Nintendo going to do so that people buy the Wii? It's going to tell the developers to rely on the unique control system. What does that mean for developers of FPS games? More realistic shooting. Throwing grenades, recoil, melee attacks, all will become much more engrossing, like playing in virtual reality instead of a video game. This might be great for hardcore gamers-but they aren't the ones buying a Wii. It'll be kids playing.

Counterstrike 1.6 since you were 11? Jesus, you have problems, haha.

Technically, I bought the game the day before CS 1.3 came out. That enraged me because the update (back in the days of 56k) required 8 hours of downloading. An entire summer's day wasted.

Wii, because even though I'm not a big fan of video games, I would buy one. And even old people like Wiis!

PC is the Best

yeah, it really is.

CS is so damn addicting, most realistic FPS game I ever played, besides source.

Wii is the biggest joke of a console and most evil ogre of plastic and metal to ever walk the face of this earth.

LMAO, unless your into some hardcore Mario games, don't consider the Wii.

Most hardcore gamers (myself included) will get a wii. But we will get it for maybe 5 games at max: Zelda, mario kart, mario galaxy, metroid corruption and smash brothers brawl. those games rock and nintendo should have stuck to making true games not some bs game about lawyers or cooking. Not stupid minigame collections. Nintendo used to be awesome: Remember their good games

Zelda:Ocernario of time
Zelda: Majora's Mask
Resident Evil 4

I am still wondering what the hell happened to nintendo? How do you go from making games like these to making games like: Phoneix Wright, Cooking Mana and all the other bs on the wii.

I have no idea, collegehopeful, but that's what's made me turn my back on Nintendo after having been faithful since the NES. It's pretty funny that I played every one of those games, except for Double Dash.

They said that they were going to make gaming more user friendly, and easier to play, but in the process lost many of the "hardcore gamers," though most still buy a Wii and one other console. I myself chose a 360, and believe it is the better console, compared to the PS3, only because of Xbox LIVE. I live for multiplayer, and Xbox has the best. (not to say that I don't enjoy a good single-player game too, though.)

I am still in awe of how you can make such good games and go to making ****?

I too enjoy my xbox 360. Can anything beat gears of war, halo 3, call of duty 4, mass effect multiplayer? But all those games have good single player too. I was thinking about getting Dead orAlive 4 which I know is goodbut do people still play it online? SHould i just wait for # 5?

Resident evil 5 looks good. Too bad stupid wii won't get it. Devolpers have become sick of making watered down games.

If CS is the most realistic FPS you've ever played, then you haven't played very many realistic FPS's :P

I agree that wii is fun, but I have a bias towards shooters and Gears + Halo + BioShock makes xbox the clear winner to me.
