No
Some kid asked on their BB and they said you should olny send it if it helps them better review your app or something like that. So pretty much if your grades are top notch, send it to them.

Plus ED wouldn't make sense since they already decided if they accpeted you or not. Since they don't defer you can't help your chances in any way.

so if you get accepted ed, not only is the "where will I go to college" stress over, but you don't even have to work that hard for the whole rest of the year (not that anyone would totally slack off....)

catherine, I wouldn't exactly say that you don't have to work that hard for the rest of the year. Read the E.D. acceptance very carefully. It will clearly state that your offer of admission is conditional on successful completion of all coursework in progress, meaning that they'll expect the same type of marks that got you in. Every year there are kids who get in, slack off, and then get their offer rescinded when final transcripts are sent in at the end of senior year. Don't think it doesn't happen. And that doesn't just mean no Ds or Fs. If you're a straight A and B student when you apply, and you dropped to all Cs, that isn't going to look good. You don't want to be rescinded or put on academic probation to start off your year at NYU.

I was kind of joking about the slacking off...I just meant you don't have to work 24/7 like before getting accepted, but no, if accepted I wouldn't want to risk losing that acceptance with bad grades....

Ugh, my dad gets big fat envelopes all the time from NYU because he's a professor there. It makes me so aggrevated. The last big envelope from them was just a form to renew his benefits for 2006. Everyone says that my father working there means I'll definitely get in, but I just don't know...I'm so nervous.

If I actually make it, I get to go for free. Part of his benefits package. But ARGH! I want to know already! I feel like I'm going to tear my hair out.

No GSP letter...so I'm bracing myself for the worse...

I think NYU will probably send all the letters on Monday, and then people in New York will get their letters Tuesday, people in the surrounding areas Wednesday and so on and so forth throughout the United States. If you go to the USPS website it says how long it takes for letters to get from one Zip Code to another. Three days for me--Texas. However, that is just my hypothesis.
