a post for all of us Early Decisions

If napalm got his acceptance from UPS today then we might start getting stuff tomorrow from USPS...if NYU sent out on Saturday.

i found out a couple days ago i got in. cas. but im in england, so maybe they send out the international decisions earlier than domestic. good luck guys.

From live journal: GSP letters went out last week. Rumor has it that E.D. acceptance letters were mailed on Friday.

hmmm...ouch...so they don't mail rejection/acceptance letters at the same time? I should've gotten it by now if they sent it out on Friday since I live in a NYC borough...errrrrrrrrrrrrr

link me to LJ

Well supposedly a lot of east coasters found out on the 11th previous years and since the 11th is a Sunday this year...the 12th might not be unreasonable.

live journal: www.livejournal.com/community/nyu

yeah parkihs i wouldn't worry. i live in jersey which would be relatively the same mail time, and no one around here has gotten any sort of letter - many people being more than qualified for NYU. no way we alllll got rejected.

i would expect letters to start tomorrow.

I livin the NY suburbs and have heard nothing...and remember, there was that big storm Friday so it's possible that mail that usually takes one day would take two (i.e. if they were sent out Friday they may get here Monday instead of Sat.)

true catherine...but I received mail on friday and saturday so who knows...maybe those were sent out a while ago.

I didn't receive anything and i live in Queens. Monday most probably.

It doesnt depend on where u stay. I stay on the other side of the world and i got my acceptance letter today. Stern couriers it according to where u stay, further away earlier they send it, so everyone gets it by the 15th. Mine was sent out on the 9th. U people should get it by in teh next couple of days. by the way this is for stern, donno about the others

napalm i'm happy for u..but also raging w/ envy lol...did u pop open the champagne and celebrate?

I live in new jersey.
hmm. i actually wasnt expecting it to come for a while now. i thought dec 15 or later. but i guess it should come sometime this week.
do you guys think it could come monday?
grrrr it just annoys me that i cant check the status online like for other schools.

I was accepted to GSP but I am egeraly waiting the letters because I assume THAT is when I finally find out my financial aid info, correct?

is it any harder for intl students to be accepted?

So even though I live in the west, should I be getting my letter by Friday?

if they sent the letter out on friday..new yorkers would have recieved it on saturday..so i don't think they did..

Yeah as someone said, almost anyone I know who has gotten accepted to NYU received their letter on the 11th. So hopefully it will arrive monday (today)!!! There is also the NYU 2010 place for everyone to start posting once decisions are sent out!!

I really hope I didn't get rejected and a big fat envelope is waiting for me tomorrow when I come back from school.

i think what napalm has said makes sense...i got mine friday and he got his this weekend...they probably send out the international letters earlier than others. i reckon you guys will get your letters today and tomorrow, though if you don't, then you probably should wait till at least friday before you start getting worried.

Well, it's Monday and I didn't receive my acceptance letter. I live about two hours away from New York City.

Based upon what's been said by others (that we're supposed to receive acceptance letters today), should I assume I'm rejected?

Does the letter come by UPS or USPS?
