"If I apply Early Decision, when do I receive my admissions decision?

The overwhelming majority of Early Decision candidates will hear in mid-December; we really try to have your decision arrive on or about December 15th. Students whose credentials arrive late or who complete an audition later in November or in December may hear after December 15th, or even as late as January. (We are closed for the holidays during the last week or so of December.)"

This is from the NYU bulletin board FAQs. This is the only thing that you should pay attention to. Today is Monday, and the 15th isn't until Thursday.

And NYU said they aren't sending any decisions until the week of the 12th (minus international students)...which makes me think they will probably send them out today. They come by USPS. Good Luck.

Nothing down here in Florida...and it's worth getting stressed about because NYU is late this year...most people got them on or before the 11th last year so today wasn't unreasonable. As I said before, this shady bull crap annoys me. Why can't they tell us online like so many other schools for heaven's sake?

catherine did you get other stuff in the mail (delivery man come yet)? I live 30 minutes from NYU as well (bronx)...but the mail hasn't been delivered yet.

keep in mind that this year's ed deadline was extended for hurricane victims, which is probably why decisions arent arriving the same time as the past few years

Nothing here..I also live in NJ, about 45mins away from NYU.

I think the decision letters will come via USPS for state applicants. It would be too expensive for them to send them via UPS as they would have to pay for the postage while USPS is free for them.
