did you get a netID and password during the summer program?

Yeah, I tried doing it, but I got nothing. It is probably because you did the summer programme (hopefully?)

legionaire, I don't think we did have a netID and password this summer. Do you know if you can try this with the NYU ID you are given when they confirm they got your app?

legionaire, I tried that and it worked. Do you know if this means anything, or does this happen because we attended this summer?

Or perhaps you got IN, because you attended this summer?

yeah, I tried it already and it works. maybe you never created an account or something. Don't worry, I'm just as anxious as you are to know the decisions. good luck!

My daughter tried doing it and she got on, but then it said her password was wrong...probably becasue she had one a few years ago in summer school and doesn't remember it. Oh well.

Has anyone who hasn't attended NYU summer school managed to get on?

Its probably because we attended the summer program. We'll have to wait two more weeks. I doubt they even made my decision yet. I really hope I get in.

They have probably made most of their decisions by now. Two weeks isn't that far from now...and think about it...If they want to send out their decisions to be received by the 15th...they should be getting ready to send them. Good Luck to you though. What are your "stats"?

hey, I guess since ppl want to know stats, I'll start off. I applied ED Film and TV
From Idaho
GPA: 3.87 cum. uw/ 4.6w
Rank: top 5%
ACT: 28
APUSH: 5
AP Bio: 4
8 AP's by graduation
co-editor-in-chief and video-editor-in-chief of yearbook, held several other editor positions.
Attended the summer film program, excellent rec from the professor
Lots of EC's, clubs, awards, volunteering etc.

Ooh, nicely done. Having a rec from a NYU prof will help a lot, I'm sure.

The funny thing about admissions is that you really never know who will read yours and what they will think of you. The only thing I've got going for me is that I went abroad on an exchange program. Which is ok, I guess...but I feel like all these other cool things were never offered to me at my school--such as being an editor of something.

Hm. Good Luck though, you are highly qualified.

Thanks alexalex! I'm sure you are very qualified!!! Good luck!!

Cheers, I guess we'll see, eh?

I was reading on another bulletin about finding out one's acceptance status. And some dude left a quote that was something along the lines of--I will be drinking on the night of Decemeber 15th...whether it will be Champagne or Hard Liquor, I don't know.-- I thought that was a clever statement. It perfectly sums up the feelings of an applicant anticipating the arrival of that elusive letter regardless if they drink or not.

Oh the suspense!!

Last year all the emails weren't set up until around February or March. It was definitely later on. Andddd last year I got my acceptance on December 3rd.

December 3rd!!!?? Jeeezzz. I am getting so nervous. Which school were you accepted to?

gsp gets them earlier.

So if we hear soon, that means it is probably GSP....By the way, are all acceptances in fat envelops, so if a skinny one appears, it's bad news?
