A specific housing question (Please read!)

I did go through most of the housing threads and still can’t figure this out. I have no idea what to put down for my second through fifth choice on my housing survey! My top choice is Warren, and I know West and Towers are where most of the freshmen reside, but both seem so far away from the CAS building (I’m in CAS). Right now my order is:

Warren

South Campus brownstones

1019 comm

Towers

West

After looking at the BU student union website: http://bustudentunion.com/main/?page_id=508 and saw that while South Campus apartments have a lot of upperclassmen, while the brownstones have a lot of freshmen. Not sure how updated and reliable this source is though.

Should I just get over the whole distance thing and put down Towers and West as my 2nd and 3rd choice? I definitely want a “loud,” and crowded dorm with a bunch of other freshmen, as opposed to a really quiet one with mostly upperclassmen.

I apologize this thread is so long…but basically my question is what other 4 dorms would you recommend for me? Thank you so much for reading! hahah

Ah ok so I just saw that there’s another thread basically asking the same question so I’m really sorry about that!

towers is actually really close to cas, WAY closer than south and 1019 (1019 is as far away as you can get).

Yeah, you should def. put Towers as your 2nd choice at least–it’s VERY close to CAS.

i don’t advise living in 1019 as a freshman - i heard it’s almost all upperclassman who alrdy have their own friends, and it’s not very social. most likely you’ll end up in warren (which you will loveee!), but south and towers is not that bad distance-wise at all. it is probably a ten minute walk from me from south campus to cas, not as far as most people think, we’re just right behind photonics!

Thanks everyone for your help! Right now my list is:

 1. Warren
 2. Towers
 3. West
 4. Shelton
 5. HoJo (575 Comm)

I am still considering replacing 4 or 5 with South but probably not. Any thoughts?

You wont’ get into a south apartment as a freshman so don’t bother with it. South, btw, is a good place to live with a short walk over the St. Mary’s bridge to campus.

Keep your list the way it is.
