Academic Renewal and Grade Replacement.

I got an academic renewal on an F I had about 2 years ago due to family problems but I was wonder if I can retake that class when I go to Davis to replace that grade. I really want to go to medical school and I heard that if you get an F it will be factored into your GPA when you apply.

I think each university handles it differently. For transfer purposes, they might not care if you already have academic renewal, but if you apply to med school, it will look better to take the course again and get a better grade than leaving it aside. Try searching if you can take the same course again at a different community college, if you don’t live anywhere close to your previous community college, but with the same course title proving that you can do good in those courses, but if you can and you can handle those courses then why shouldn’t you?
