If I received a D in Biology and repeat the class and receive a D. The old D has been replaced through Course Repetition by the new D. Now, I would like to do an academic renewal on the new D. Is this possible?
what did the counselor at your CC say when you asked?
No, this is most likely not possible. Academic renewals have very specific requirements, such as an education break and you must have a certain GPA overall. The recommendation in a situation such as yours would be to retake the course. A single course can be retaken 3 times. Work your butt off, get tutoring if you need to, but you cannot apply an academic renewal if you took it last semester. Most institutions require 12 months since the grade was received in order to have it renewed.
Most CCCs allow you to retake two times, but who
knows. As mikemac said, you need to be asking your advisor, not us. Or google it.
AR could work for both courses but there’s a time delay, and some CCCs allow you to pick and choose courses, while others make you erase an entire term, including any As, etc. Again, a simple google search of your CCC and their policy will provide an answer.
