I didn’t get a letter today, even though someone else in my town got an acceptance letter. Do you think this indicates anything? I’m nervous, really want to become a tiger.

Got the the very thin envelope today not accepted. GPA 3.88 weighted, ACT 25, OOS, Latino. That’s OK, congrats to all who were accepted, it’s a great school, as you all know.
I have a small array of great schools, for me, to which I applied, and have been accepted, time to move on. Best to all!

kjbranch…were you in state or out of state?

@erovicks13 sorry deleted last post by accident. OOS

im sorry about it…there will be good news in april…im sure of it! From my experience Clemson is MUCH kinder to in state students( I have friend with almost the exact same stats who has yet to hear but is in state…im starting to think he got bridged or waitlisted) …Clemson really made a fool of themselves with this whole process ( atleast from a neutral perspective)

Wait-listed today (in NY):
3.9 UW/4.0 W
4.0 so far senior year
AP/IB x 7
VP of Academy of Finance
DECA competitions x2; 2nd & 3rd place
97 avg in College Anat & Phys (offered at HS)
92 avg in College Accounting (offered at HS)
3 Honor societies: National, Business, and World Languages
5 other EC clubs for past 2-4 years
ACT 26 - (yeah, I know)
Rank 107/525, public

Congrats to all the new Tigers!
Not giving up that easily. Fingers crossed for May :)

So many wait lists of great candidates. I wonder if that is typical or is Clemson just getting harder to get in. For those who got in I highly recommend the learning communities.

@wendy, I was thinking of joining the psychology learning community for freshman year, but the downside would be that I’m not as exposed to all the different types of people that I might find in a normal dorm. Is this true?

Sorry, mama033. On another note, you received the brochure on Friday and received a letter yesterday. We received the brochure yesterday, so I guess that means we won’t receive the letter until at least tomorrow, maybe Friday, at which time my daughter will be in Gainesville, Florida, visiting the school she will very probably be attending anyway. Good luck to all!

DD wait listed

OOS. va
Gpa 3.72
Act 28
7 AP’s
6 honors
Only core curriculum class
Catholic h.s.

Disappointing

Dco9522, do you mean getting exposed to people in different major? If so, it’s probably not as big of a deal as you think it is. I don’t think living in a learning community would take away from a freshman dorm experience.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen this many people get wait listed (well out of the small sample here on CC). I know Clemson did receive record applications again so it’s definitely getting more selective. Add to the fact that they are already pretty much at capacity with the student body on campus right now.

My son had the same reservation you do. I put some pressure on him to do it. He now says that is the best thing he did. The mentoring and support you get, and the camaraderie with the students far outweigh anything else in my opinion.

Anyone from MASSACHUSETTS get letters yet? I’m on school vacation and can’t wait to get back and see tomorrow. I’m hoping they are looking for more geographical diversity.

I’m from Mass and didn’t get a letter, but I know people in my town that got acceptance letters yesterday. I should be getting it today!

Wait listed in northern NJ. Similar stats as other waitlisters. Looks like we’re going to be Terrapins.

Still nothing in Miami. Not only did they send it out late; They sent it Pony Express. Judging from the stats of the people getting waitlisted, I think money will be out of the question for my DD. Soooooo . . . GO GATORS!

Congrats to those admitted, and my daughter will probably be seeing you guys at sporting events.

Big orange envelope in Atlanta today for my son.

Still nothing for me in Mass…

Nothing in Ky on Wednesday
