ranked top 10 percent of my class (38/408)
2040 SAT 31 ACT
@Paniniman Go to Clemson’s net price calculator. They are one of the few schools that will estimate MERIT scholarships. Just make sure you check the box that asks if you want them to calculate merit aid.
In my opinion you are in with some sort of merit. Your stats get you in, top 10% gets you merit.
Thanks @daveverdo, it says i can get 10k, but I’m getting worried, I applied right before thanksgiving, and haven’t got any notification yet :-S
@Paninman Neither has my daughter. She applied mid-November and hasn’t heard yet. When we visited last summer they pretty much said you would get the aid if you get in as long as you are top 10%.
@daveverdo so I’m not the only, I called after I posted, and they told that they were still going the applications for merit scholarships! So theres still hope!
my son’s OOS admission decision came before the Holiday break…he was awarded an annual OOS Merit Scholarship of $12,500…pretty excited…but waiting on other schools too! so nerve wracking!
My daughter applied oct 16 havent heard anything. we are OOS in NJ…fingers crossed…the wait is killing us.
Just got in today!
@paniniman Congrats!! Mind if I ask if you got a merit scholarship and if so was it in line with the estimate? Also, when did you apply?
Did people get letters this week? I didn’t get a letter yet, but got an email asking me to activate my account. Email has a TIGER BOUND header, so I assume I was accepted. I’m at school and will have to check my mail box tonight.
… And my D was invited to join Clemson Class of 2019 on FB, but hasn’t been accepted yet… ???
@st2015 Same here…
@feartheENGR Maybe we will get something today? I have been accepted to some other schools, but Clemson could change my mind if they offer some good merit money and I get into the Honors College. “the waiting is the hardest part”…Won’t hear from most other schools until mid-Feb.
@st2015 Hoping for the best for you. I got the packet! It feels really good to be accepted somewhere, and somewhere as awesome as Clemson!
@daveverdo I applied before thanksgiving, and haven’t gotten a letter w/ merit yet, but I have gotten an email with tiger bound in it, and when I clicked on the link it said enter code from acceptance letter, so I assumed I got in.
@st2015 No letter yet, just the email
@daveverdo I got 10k per year, which was on par with the estimator on the website.
Letter came in the mail on Friday with $7500 per year scholarship. This matched the net calculator. I plan to travel to Clemson in March to visit the school. I am trying to decide between Purdue, Clemson, Illinois, and Texas.
st2015, do you mind sharing your gpa/test score stats with us? My son has not heard back yet…we’re still waiting but this is a school he is very interested in.
@WWAParent Hi, I posted above, and I got the same amount for a scholarship. I did not check net calculator beforehand.
GPA: 3.56 (lots of Honors, 2 APs)
