Pratt at Munson-Williams Proctor is a two-year school associated with Pratt. Basically, if you go there for two years, you get into Pratt without a problem and can transfer there for your last two years.</p>
<p>As far as I know Pratt MWP does the same foundation courses that the main Pratt campus in Brooklyn teach. I like that everyone, painters and photographers, art historians and architects are expected to take the same foundation courses.</p>
<p>Pratt MWP is cheaper, but then again it is up in Utica, by the Erie Canal. Their students may also have the advantage of being larger frogs in a smaller pond, for a while. And it may not have as many temptations as the greater NY area, which could make a big difference for those who who really need to concentrate to make it through the first year.</p>
